The description of the item said it was compatible with what I have. I placed the order. Later realized from the manufacturer's website that it is in fact NOT compatible with what I have. Tried to cancel the order but was told it had already shipped. FedEx tracking said the item had not been received yet. Now I'm out $100 and stuck with an item I can't use. I'm up in the air as to whether or not I'm going to cancel my subscription.

The site crashes a lot and I put in a order over $600 for a build and one of my parts that I paid for was missing from my order contacted FDC and am currently waiting for a response

Hi Eugene,
I wanted to take a moment to discuss the points you brought up. The product you bought (a Smith & Wesson) had a notice on the page that it would take extra time to fulfill. We disclose this, as manufacturers like Smith & Wesson require the product to ship to us first, and then to your selected dealer. It took 6 business days from the time the order was placed to when it was delivered to your dealer (not counting weekends because they don't factor into shipping time) which isn't a bad lead time, and gets it well inside of the 2 weeks I typically advise customers of for those brands.
As for your point about pricing, it's not a sales gimmick, we do provide access to firearms and accessories at cost. Now, that does not mean we are the cheapest on every single item every time. There are tons of dealers selling certain items they are overstocked on below cost and we can't help that.
FDC is guaranteed to get you a good deal on most items and a great deal on some items while providing you with top-notch customer service throughout the process.
That being said, our model is not for everyone, and we are okay with that. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, giving me the opportunity to publicly discuss this for the benefit of others.

Disappointing Experience
I received an email that S&B 300BLK 200GR FMJ SUBSONIC20/1000 was back in stock. I immediately placed an order for 10 boxes. A few hours later I received another email that my purchase had been refunded back to my card as the item order was, again, out of stock.

We sincerely apologize for this experience. The nature of the business we are in, providing access to inventory of others, means we do fight a constant battle of in and out of stock items. We do have a policy to refund orders as quickly as possible to prevent holding funds from others without inventory to fulfill the order with. At the end of the day, we can't make S&B produce more ammo, and can't guarantee the availability of any product, as there is ALWAYS lag time between an item's stock being updated. Hopefully we can do better next time!
