I am skeptical that he has an edge. Looking at his returns since he began trading publicly, it seems he has underperformed the index. It is a bit misleading to advertise an edge under those circumstances. His really strong returns came before he started trading publicly, which makes his annualized returns look good. However, there is no way to verify those earlier results, so I am skeptical that they were actually as high as claimed.

I was a member for 2 years and only made a very small profit in that time taking ALL of his trades which perhaps paid for the subscription itself. The strategy relies on breakouts based on fundamental and technical analysis, but there are MANY losses on the short term trades as the strategy relies on a few big winners. Miss out on a few of these and you will end up with a negative balance. Gareth's past trades via his spreadsheet has been entirely manipulated to reveal bigger winners than his losses because he doesn't actually reveal the share size on his trades. This is very important because it's not difficult to show a bigger profit or a smaller loss than what has been shown if you don't actually reveal how many shares that you have actually bought!! Ironically, he uses leverage to try and justify this but I believe that he is misleading people. I was initially drawn to his service via his Youtube channel (which is fine) but he then uses this to great effect by turning viewers towards his subscription model service where he regularly posts his weekly trades. For a trader with over 20 years experience in the markets, I believe that he is an average trader at best. For a subscription service which is now over £300 a year and with no real transparency, I believe that these models are the only thing that is keeping him profitable. He is misleading people and I really wouldn't advocate subscribing to this service.
