Faxapp.com (100% scam) here is step by step: Faxer.app has been confirmed by multiple Trustpilot reviewers as a fraud service that charges $25 per month without agreement. The website deceptively says "First fax free, no card required" but it is not free at all — and they trick users into a recurring monthly subscription. Bank of America has seen this pattern from them and reversed fraudulent charges. They did multiple charges in 10 days, over $50 for a 2 page fax. When you use their online portal to cancel. The popup you are seeing — "Demo: In production, this would submit to backend to cancel via payment processor API" — is particularly damning. That message is a broken or fake cancellation interface that was never properly built. It is a demo placeholder that was intentionally or negligently left in place to prevent cancellations from processing. This is not a glitch. Multiple users confirm they have reached out to cancel multiple times through support with no response and that there is no cancellation option in the app itself. Your screenshot of the "Demo: In production" popup is extraordinary evidence for a chargeback — it proves their cancellation system is either fake or broken by design. Step One — File FTC Complaint: Go to reportfraud.ftc (.gov) and file a complaint against faxer.app. Faxer has been reported by multiple consumers for attempting to charge cards after what appeared to be a low-cost fax service without making automatic renewal clear enough during checkout. The FTC is actively tracking subscription trap complaints and your case with the demo cancellation screenshot adds strong evidence to the pattern. Step Two — File with the CFPB: Go to consumerfinance.gov (forward slash 'complaint')— file against faxer.app for deceptive billing practices. CFPB complaints against subscription trap services carry significant regulatory weight. Step Three — Leave a Review on Trustpilot: Go to trustpilot. (com) /review/ (add Faxer.app at the end) and post your experience including the screenshot of the Demo cancellation popup. This warning helps protect other people and adds to the documented pattern regulators use to take action. Step Four — Email Their Support With a Paper Trail: Email suppor (at) faxapp.com — visible at the bottom of your screenshot — and write: "I am formally requesting immediate cancellation of my subscription associated with (your email address) and card ending in (last four). Your cancellation system at faxer-app.firebaseapp.com displays a 'Demo' placeholder message confirming the system does not actually process cancellations. This constitutes a deceptive and non-functional cancellation interface. If I receive any further charges I will be filing complaints with the FTC, CFPB, and my state Attorney General in addition to pursuing a full chargeback for all charges to date."

Vorsicht vor Faxer.App!

Sent a fax for €00.99 it worked great. 3 days later a €24.99 charge appeared on my PayPal, guessing they they tricked me into a subscription. Now trying to reclaim the money. Absolute joke of a company AVOID at all costs. Not sure why companies hide a subscription deep in the wording to trick people!

Advertising: send one fax for free. Reality: Send one page fax for free with additional pages at $0.99 and autosign up for free trial that turns into a $24.99/month subscription in 3 days. Most deceiving experience and marketing ever and going to leave as many accurate reviews as possible so more people don't get scammed by this terrible company.

They promise a free fax - costs 0.99¢. 7-day trial is a smoke screen. CHarges began 2 business days after for the full month. STAY AWAYB !!
