What happened to them? They were a reliable and reasonably priced service; now they are crooks! They wanted $575 to renew for one year, and I couldn't get my files without renewing. First they said I could renew for one month, then it changed to 2 months. They were holding my files hostage! I have used them for web hosting for years, with great phone support. Now you can't even get them on the phone. (A recording says their phone system is "broken".) Something happened! STAY AWAY from them!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. their renewal rate is ridiculous at $700+ for 3 years. The chat help keeps lying about things. They, in short, do not have their s**t together - avoid at all costs!! you have been warned

There's really no difference between fat cow and a common thief. Several times they have pulled the same crap. They recently made it so that I couldn't access my account at all until I purchased domain privacy. The screen just kept on going back to the "purchase domain privacy screen" I had to actually call them and then get them to fix it and then a couple days later they just charged me anyway. They had my bank account information. Do not give these thieves your bank account or PayPal or any other information or you will spend a lot of time trying to get money back that day. Steal. I'm not saying that they theoretically steal money or I feel like I've been robbed, I'm saying they literally steal money from your account for sh!t that you didn't ask for. I don't know why they haven't been prosecuted.

I spent almost 2 hours trying to cancel my account with this company. Between the site booting me out anytime I tried to go to a different window to trying to figure out how to chat or call them for help. Never could find the chap icon and when I called, the recording said they were having difficulty with the phones. The email worked ok, I've used better. It needs a lot of work to make it easier to do tasks. I never could get it on my Android, always had to go through the website.

I have been with Fatcow for 10 years and their service has gone incredibly downhill. They have increased their rates exponentially and downgraded their service also exponentially. When I tried to communicate with them I got absolute poor customer service, different info from different people. It is truly a joke of a company at this point. Go elsewhere, as I am doing.

Their auto renewal is a scam! They charged me 726 Dollar for their most basic hosting for three years, althought I had cancelled the auto renewal, never share with them your visas, never authorise them to use your Paypal, they are not honest at all.

12 years a customer with auto renewal. There are no human voices only chat boxes. I needed an issue resolved (four days past the refund period and I mistakenly allowed my subscription to be renewed). Find the chat feature was very difficult and once there 10 to 15 minutes was the average between exchanges. And finally on came one and asked how they could help after I had already explained it twice. It was clearly a stall tactic and they finally won. I cancelled my auto-renewal and will eat the $554.00. A terrible way to treat customers but a great way to avoid refunds or finding a way to resolve the issue. A NO WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN WHAT HAPPENED...NOTHING.

I've been a customer over 15 years and have referred many colleagues to FatCow. They used to be great. Then, web.com bought them, and now they're TERRIBLE. Over the weekend, I was charged double what I paid a year ago for web hosting. My invoice for the almost $300 charge simply read "fat cow plan". When I spoke with the chat rep, it took over an HOUR, and I had to request a supervisor multiple times. Original chat cust. service 1. Didn't know what fat cow plan was. 2. Told me they couldn't find the bill on my account (even with screen shot), 3. Told me I hadn't actually been charged (lie) and 4. then an HOUR later when I finally got a supervisor, I was told it was the hosting plan and a cost of doing business increase. When I said doubling the price was not CODB they offered me a $29 refund. I wasted over an hour and a half, trying to get this resolved (or at least an explanation of what they were charging me $300 for.) I'll be looking for a new web host asap. It's a shame, I loved FatCow.
