Farmer's does not stand behind it's mission statement. I have written 2 letter to corporate and one of them was settled but the other was not. Today 2/6/2023 finally someone got back to me after 5 months. Had an accident back in June of 2022 and I was rear ended by some crazy person. Had to fight for everything to be repaired especially my transmission. In the mean time the adjuster after I called and said the car will be in the shop and I need to get to work. I had to wait for the transmission to come in and got a cheap rental car. So, for 2 months I had a rental and the bill was a little over $3,000.00 I submitted the bill and today I was told I am left holding the bag to pay the car rental fee. So, if I didn't go to work I could not pay my car insurance. They the company just doesn't care. So, I get rear ended the nut job just pays for what was repaired and that's it?? It is useless in talking with the people from Farmer's. They are false advertising about how great their insurance it. Hell NO!! They only look to make money for their pockets. They and their staff have no clue to customer service what so ever. I'd like to give them a negative rating but they are a company that is not worth much. It is very sad. My money is good any where and I will be looking for another company. Their loss and another company's gain. I would never recommended Farmer's to anyone. Unless they are really desperate. This dealing with Farmer's was a horrific nightmare.

I live in NJ but for some reason the insurance adjuster assigned to my claim is in Bethany, OK. Getting her on the phone is like a lottery, I have to call 10-15 times daily and hope she answers one day. So, she does not answer her phone and she's not returning your call when you leave messages. So I emailed her, that was a week ago, I'm still waiting. When I call the general customer service numbers for the information I need, rather than assisting me, they refer me back to the unavailable adjuster or transfer me to her line to hear her voice message over and over.

Bait and switch. Quote you a low rate and increase your rates every year regardless if you have zero claims and tickets. Terrible company. Local agents are unavailable and I have never been able to talk to them.

I am not sure where to start, but as I read another review I have to agree with that person - Since Farmers took over for Met Life, it has been a painful experience. Fist off, the website is not intuitive, and it is very difficult to get basic information. I called customer service twice for what is normally a simple item that I can do with many other accounts online. I simply wanted to remove one checking account that was making my automatic bill payments, and add a new one since I switched banks. Should be easy, but I spent probably 45 minutes trying to find my payment method online, to no avail. Then I called customer service, and after about another 45 minutes was told to fill out a form and e mail it back. I did that immediately. I just got off of the phone with them again, trying to check on the status, and they said it was sent to the wrong e mail address - the one they had originally given me was not correct! Time to start searching for a new insurance company.

I have had nothing but problems with Farmers Insurance since they acquired my MetLife auto and home policies. MetLife was great! They handled updates to my policies and claims seamlessly. Farmers is completely different. First off, there is no such thing as first call resolution with their customer service center. They really don't know what they are doing as a whole. I needed to have the effective date on my auto policy corrected. It took 3 weeks and something like 25 calls. Not exaggerating! I had to get my job involved since I have the discounted policy with Farmers through them, and the DMV was sending me letters saying that I need to pay a fee because I did not have Auto insurance. Right now I am trying to have my rental office added to my renters insurance policy as an interested party, which is normal for renters, for about a month. CSP 1 instead added them as a mortgage company to my RENTER'S policy. Not sure why they did that since the word mortgage never came out of my mouth. CSP 2 said that it could not be done. CSP 3 sent me some form and said that I needed to fill it out. I filled it out and sent it back a week and a half ago and heard nothing back about it. I've reached out to them on Twitter both using a DM and posting public tweets together response. It should not take all of this to make changes to my insurance policy. Now my renter's office is emailing me saying that I'm out of compliance with my lease for not maintaining renters insurance with them listed as an interested party. If it wasn't for the discount through my job, I would have left a long time ago. This is ridiculous! I'm about to do some insurance shopping to see if I can find something that's close to the discounted price they offer. Hopefully I can find something that comes close because any insurance company has to be better than this. Update: I switched to Geico the day after posting this. Now Farmers doesn't know how to cancel my policies despite my sending a written request. 🤦🏽‍♀️

These people were by far the rudest and most unhelpful people I have ever tried to work with on a claim where their insurer struck my vehicle. After being extremely shady during the entire process they refused my claim based on their insurer's statement which they then refused to allow me access to. For all I know they coached their insurer as to what to say and then hid behind the fact that they won't reveal their claim documentation. Their service department is atrocious and I had to go up 3 levels of supervisors before someone would even speak to me about a simple request of documentation so that I can bring their client to court, all while belittling and demeaning me and trying to just make me go away. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to use this company for my insurance and would highly recommend that you avoid them at all costs. They should be ASHAMED for their lack of customer service

Today i have a worst customer service ever from Farmers call center customer service. The women named Corey/ cory gave me horrible experience. I called because i need further advice about my policy with Farmers because the agent i am working with kinda not professional. But she told me to contact that agent about my problems and there is nothing she can do. And she talked with customer in a very rude attitude (kinda teaching me without any knowledge). And even I still said thank you at the end she didnot and not even saying goodbye. Later i called back to customer center because i was mad about what I had experienced, There was another guy that actually did the job of customer service, he tried to contact my agent By himself to see what’s going on and he said he gonna tried the best to push up progress and get my problem solved. He seems to younger than that Corey, so I think he actually does his job rather than get money and do it as superficial job. To Corey If you by chance read this comment, you shouLd know although kinda late for your age “ you should do things the right way to get right things come back to your life”

My Metlife policies for Home & auto were taken over by Farmers. All I've wanted to do is pay my bill electronically. It's been impossible. Unbelievable terrible customer service thru the Foremost link my agent provided because the normal Farmers one did not work. Was able to set up auto policy but then tried adding homeowners & got message it had been removed from my account. On hold & hung up on several times. Going to have to call & pay the agent directly again. What a PIA.
