I liked the fact that they gave me a good price right off the bat. Others wanted to "beat the price" given but that's not a knowledgeable or trustworthy approach. This company was also rated very well.

I had an unusual situation which required FA to understand many details at several layers in their organization. We hit several tripping points where their inability to understand almost stopped the process. My loan specialist, Nigel Goddard, persevered, though, and kept things on track until we closed. He was the reason we were able to make the loan happen. Perhaps some kind of expediting function within FA with a smaller number of people to understand complexities would be useful in unusual circumstances.

Very personable and helpful representatives, but often stated time frames are not accurate. Otherwise, wonderful people and service.

I would have given a rating of 5 up to the closing. Andrew Thompson was very helpful and made the application part easy. The closing went well with the lawyer Steven Goode coming to my house. But, right now I am trying to settle the improvements that were required for me to do and there is confusion, and I believe a language barrier that is hindering the process to getting reimbursed the money I paid directly to the carpenter that did the work.

The associates are very friendly and always willing to answer questions and give sound advice. There was no pressuring and when one wanted to say yes to the reverse mortgage, it was on your own terms.

The people were good at explaining things and were always open to questions. They were excellent in the most small details and seemed to want to answer all your questions. They even suggested questions that I might want to ask which I appreciated. They took away a lot of my fears.
