Finance of America and MIranda, my agent literally pulled me out of the quagmire of dishonest agents and predatory companies and offered me the best deal out of 6 companies. I was on the brink of closing with Longbridge when an alarm went off. Their offer was very enticing; but they openly admitted that they go with the lowest bidder when selecting an appraiser. I was appalled at the ratings on the appraisers and when I objected they snuck the appraiser thru against my wishes. The appraiser gave me NO credit for endless upgrades. I desperately needed eye surgery, hearing aids and dental care. That cut my $21K to $10K cash out, which would not even pay off my debts. Miranda, from FOA saw my plight. She is an angel from heaven. She offered me a very low fixed rate and navigated me thru the endless maze of requirements safely in a calm, reassuring and professional manner. I ended up with closer to $25K to pay off my debts and pay for my desperately needed medical needs. I will NEVER forget the one and only Miranda at Finance of America. She is an angel in disguise. I had a very complex loan involving a Family Trust settlement and the first lender I tried didn't have a clue as to what was needed and really didn't seem too interested in finding out. I had previously obtained a quote from Katie May at Finance America Reverse (FAR), and their numbers were in the same ballpark so I called Katie and she had the loan transferred to FAR. Boy, am I glad I did! Not only is Katie a true professional, but she and her team were able to not only find out what was needed (and believe me, a Trust situation is VERY complicated), but obtain the necessary documents and send them to me.The entire process went very smoothly and much faster than I had expected. If you think a Reverse Mortgage might be right for you, do your homework first and find out as much as you can.Then give Katie a call. I had an excellent experience dealing with her and Finance America Reverse, and can wholeheartedly recommend them.

The entire deal was handled professionally, and on schedule by Robert Cummerford, and Tanya, his loan closer, and I am now quite happy with the result. It has solved my financial problems, at least for the time being. Thank you!!

I was very pleased with the whole process. They explained everything clearly. We did everything from our home. The actual closing was extremely quick. I believe it would have happened within 3 weeks but I delayed it by a week by being out of town. Even then they offered to send someone to me where I was going to be if I so desired. I chose to wait until I was back home.
