Nightmare city! I bought hotel and airline flights (NOLA) and my stay/hotel needed to be closer to the WW2 museum...I bought a closer hotel room for much more money and I cannot get my refund back from the original room even though the hotel is allowing me to cancel! Never again...this company has ruined my up coming plans and I've been working on this for four months+

Easy to use a website the second though you have an issue with a hotel. There customer service will lie. Their customer service is trash. I booked a hotel, get to the property which has bed bugs. The property will give the money back but Expedia would not even though I had the property right there in front of me, Expedia said no we have to call them, and they never called them.

Expedia is a nightmare trying to cancel or change reservations. Avoid at all costs! The support is horrible and I couldn't understand the guy from India on the line... I didn't even try to use expedia; I just ended up there through alaska airlines...

We thought we were being smart by booking a Vrbo as soon as they opened for the 2028 LA Olympics. The host approved our booking, and we messaged back and forth. Three weeks later, the host cancelled. She cited "unexpected environmental events such as earthquakes, floods, or other natural disasters..." as the reason, but then messaged me directly saying, "I hadn't realized that these are Olympic dates and I have family coming from out of town." Vrbo tells me the best they can do is offer a $120 OneKeyCash credit. Meanwhile, the next comparable house that is still available is several thousand dollars more. We wish we'd booked another house with a reliable host from the beginning, and we really wish Vrbo/Expedia would do more to protect and take care of their customers-especially customers who have booked every vacation with them since 2018.

Expedia has the worst insurance protection plan. We booked a hotel in Niagara Falls for 1 day and bought insurance protection plan. We had to cancel due to an emergency. We thought we were covered. We were charged for 1 night by the hotel. The insurance plan did not cover us to get back our money. As a customer please do not or ever take Expedia insurance. Buy protection from another company like CAA or the banks. Do not I repeat do not buy coverage for your hotel or trip from Expedia. There is no protection. Expedia cannot get back your money.

Big No I haven't received my money back for a cancellation for several weeks yet. Their website says 7 working days, but they say according to their policy they should be paid within 10-14 working days. Now it's been a month and still no payment. I have requested an order through the Kronofogden as their customer service has not given me contact information for anyone responsible.

Booked hotel, purchased the insurance. Had to cancel trip. Cancelled within timeframe of policy and because they were not able to reach the property they will not refund me. Terrible service. Absolutely terrible. If you can take my money for a booking without contacting the property, you can refund me without contacting the property

This group is bad, I made a hotel reservation and cancelled due to plan changes. w.r.t refund I got less, expedia team tried to reach the property but they were not able to reach them. It show they were not able to reach their suppliers.
