I worked with many very nice people who responded to may questions promptly. However I dealt with at least three or maybe 4 different people and I found that very confusing.

Easy to work with from the initial phone conversation through the filing process. The portal to share information, forms, etc. was very easy to use. Answered questions in a timely manner. Suggested strategies related to foreign tax credit, filing status and other credits in a knowledgeable fashion. Lower fees than Big 4 firms, easier to work with and made suggestions that had been missed by large firm.

There was minimal intervention needed and the tax preparer was able to use my documents and history to complete everything. It was a bit disappointing not to have a direct contact with the preparer and not even to know who or when would be making the returns, but it worked well at the end.

The check list is very helpful to ensure that all information is provided and there are no misunderstandings. The staff is always very friendly and patient. One thing that would be helpful is for the team to proactively update the client with estimated completion dates, or proactively update when things get delayed so that we don't have to keep asking.

We have found Expat Tax CPA to be reliable and trustworthy. The staff is ready to answer any question I have within a day or two, courteously and clearly. They also help me stay organized, asking for any document or information that I need to send. If there is anything to improve, it is to lessen the time it takes them to process the tax returns.
