Excellent pre-arrival concierge services! Mary was very communicative about updates to our itinerary and followed up with reminders regularly. I had no worries that everything would be set up and on schedule because of her diligence. Most of our issues with our villa came once we arrived; we communicated them to our property manager as they arised and they were mostly fixed. The wifi wasn't working and the property manager/staff had to bring in a new router/network for our stay. Wifi was strongest downstairs and practically non-existent once upstairs. Next, the hot water heater hadn't been turned on for the property, and most of us had to take lukewarm to cold showers that first night. We notified the property manager the next morning and in her response, she indicated the owner had *just* turned on the heater. When first meeting the property manager, she communicated that if we needed ANYTHING to call or message her on Whatsapp. We decided to schedule our taxis to dining reservations and excursions through her. Friday night, however, she was completely unresponsive, causing us to have to walk 30 minutes to the entrance of the gated community we were staying to hail taxis for our dinner reservation. We ended up being 30 minutes late to dinner as a result and the property manager didn't apologize or have an explanation for her unresponsiveness other than "I was unavailable" when asked about what happened. A final minor issue was the presence of millipedes on the ground floor, especially at night. We attempted to relocate them outside humanely but they were hard to avoid. We knew to expect a critter every now and then due to the environment, but these were annoying and gross. Overall, we enjoyed our experience with Exceptional Villas and inconveniences were minor and often quickly resolved.

While the property was really nice, with a great view of the Matterhorn from the balcony, not every amenity promised was actually delivered. The promised combo washer/dryer on the premises did not function correctly. Management offered the use of a machine in another location, but being on vacation, hauling laundry back and forth would have been a huge inconvenience. Exceptional Villas has replied that the equipment was operating correctly; however, I will state that after MANY attempts, the laundry NEVER came out dry, it was always wet when removed.

The staff at Exceptional Villas communicated as expected. The disappointing point of the booking was that it was made on Homeaway. I then had to pay Canada Stays. I then had to communicate with Exceptional Villas. Very inefficient process.

From the moment we arrived to when we left, we encountered people who were friendly and helpful. Kelly, who greeted us at the airport and helped us through the immigration and customs process, had the most lovely face and radiant smile, which was delightful to see after an arduous journey. Georges, who took us to the villa, was great fun and a wonderful tour guide. And then there is Bancroft, who was our first contact at the villa, giving us a tour and spending as much time as we needed to explain everything we needed to know. He was very attentive throughout our stay, at our beck and call no matter what time. He is amazing! But most of all, Noreen, our concierge who helped us put the entire trip together. She responded so quickly to all my queries, she calmed my nerves when the planning got hectic, she provided all the information we needed to make the right decisions. She, I think, is ultimately responsible for making this vacation work so well. She is FANTASTIC!!!!

We had an amazing time at Turks and Caicos. Our villa, on the inside, was everything we had hoped it would be… great layout, beautiful decor, very clean. Service was wonderful. The concierge, Garfield, and his team, gets an A+! One thing that was misleading was that we assumed since we were affiliated with Grace Bay Club, that our home was adjacent to the Club, and we could walk to the beach, the restaurants, and other facilities. We quickly discovered that this was not the case.Our villa was a 45 minute walk by beach and/or a 10-15 minute drive. Also, our concierge told us that technically these facilities were not for our use as a villa renter. Another issue was that our beachfront was extremely rocky and not very walkable. This was not described to us or pictured in any of the literature. We thought we would be beachfront where it was clear and calm, but our entire area was a coral reef with heavy current. Still very pretty but not what we were expecting. My suggestion is that in the future you inform or show guests their actual beachfront. Sinead was very helpful to us with transportation and dining reservations, and groceries. Also, you always got back to us right away when we had questions, and we really appreciated that given the time change between us. Can I suggest that the complimentary breakfast order varies a bit… Each morning they delivered eggs, potatoes & onion, and bacon, which was fine for a day or two, but we would have loved a little more variety for 7 days. As a result, much of it went uneaten. One other thing was that it would have been helpful to know how remote the house was so that we would have known to rent a car. After reading an internet article the day before our trip, my husband saw how expensive cabs were and so tried to rent a car at the last minute and we were only able to get a compact car, which was tricky with 10 people. As a result, our taxi bill was almost $1000 for the week.

The villa was a perfect blend of modern and Caribbean-inspired design - it was spacious, clean, well-furnished and in an absolutely ideal location on the beach with amazing views! Upon arrival, we encountered a problem because the website inaccurately described the master bathroom as having a jacuzzi tub (it did not have a bathtub). However, Julie arranged for a discount on our fees due to the mistake, and the website has since been updated to accurately describe the bathroom. Other than that, we had no major issues, and we appreciated the efforts of Exceptional Villas staff to coordinate our stay and to correct the mistake.
