Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Communication
I was very interested in purchasing an open-box gaming laptop from EXcaliberPC, but I had a few important questions that needed to be answered before I felt comfortable making the purchase. I contacted the company and was given an email address to direct my questions to the store manager and RMA department. I sent an email with my questions and also submitted several questions through the “Ask Questions” section on the laptop’s sales page. After following up a couple of times, I was repeatedly told that the manager was out but would respond as soon as possible. Unfortunately, four days passed without receiving a single response to either my email or the questions I had submitted on the website. Eventually, the product page was taken down, presumably because the laptop had sold. As a result, I missed out on what could have been a great deal simply because I couldn't get answers to my questions before the item was gone. I understand that managers may be unavailable and that businesses can get busy. However, I believe four days is a reasonable amount of time to expect at least a response to legitimate pre-purchase questions, especially when dealing with an expensive gaming laptop and an open-box item where details about the condition and warranty can be particularly important. I am very disappointed and dismayed by this experience. Good customer service means more than offering attractive prices; it also means communicating with potential customers and helping them make informed purchasing decisions. Unfortunately, EXcaliberPC fell short in this regard, and the lack of communication cost me the opportunity to purchase a laptop I was genuinely interested in. Based on this experience, I am hesitant to consider EXcaliberPC for future purchases. I hope the company takes customer communication more seriously going forward.
