Everand has always been a somewhat decent place to listen to audiobooks - especially the longer book series as usually I can get through 4/5 books before the series becomes unavailable. I was happy with this. This time, however, I read 1 book in my series and then it became unavailable again and I've got to wait almost 3 weeks for it to become available again. Very frustrated with this. I understood the Everand algorithm before getting my subscription, but I expect to be able to read more than 1 book in a series per month. EDIT: This month I managed to listen to 2.5 books before my entire saved list became unavailable. What a joke. The only titles left available for me are the poorly written, bottom of the barrel drivel that is rubbish. I've just cancelled my subscription because this is horrendous.

Everand has an amazing library of audiobooks, it would be brilliant . . . BUT (that's a big but by the way) . . . after just a few hours of listening in a given subscription cycle, Everand make 90% of their catalogue unavailable, effectively making the site useless, you think you are a paying for a monthly subscription, but you are paying for only few hours listening to what you actually want to hear, and then access is limited to a few random books that very few people want to hear . . .

Horrible! Nothing like scrib’d!! I used scrib’d for 3+ years and I’ve had nothing but problems since they switched. The app signs me out EVERYTIME I lock my phone! My chapters won’t move forward automatically (what?!) and I can’t pause it!!! It gives me a play sign, my only option is to hit “back” and then it tells me I have to sign back in!!! I’ve deleted it and started over and nothing has helped. I will definitely be canceling and no longer recommending it to people. Such a disappointment.

They lie and say they are no limits but you’re lucky if you can read more than one book that you actually want to read in a month. I searched for an author that I like and they had multiple books available so I subscribed from the description page of one of his books and amazing coincidence suddenly none of the rest are now available until two days after my subscription renews. I’ve had a subscription before but this is the last straw. Just shady, scammy nonsense.

I love the selection of audio books and hate the customer service. I am having the same problem that many people are having. I pay $11.99 a month for the service and have been a customer for probably two years. I have been locked out of my account several times over the last two years. If I go to the page that says sign out, it also says I will lose all of my saved books. when I write to customer service I get a canned response that says it could take up to two weeks to address my issue. I like the book selection so much that I have put up with their horrible customer service. I have had to just delete my account twice. If I am unable to access my account for 7-10 days (that I have paid for) they DO NOT offer any kind of compensation. I use Everand to “fill in” when an audiobook isn’t available through my public library. So my subscription is paid for through my Apple account (thank god) so it’s very easy to just unsubscribe. Money has already been paid for February and will renew on March 9. I have not had access for the last three days. It’s so frustrating when it says I don’t even have an account with them.

so i got kick out the app mid listening, when i went ti log back in, it said they sent the code to some gibberish e-mail i had never seen, so i thought i got hacked, turns out they were actually sending it to my e-mail, though it was displaying a different one, so now im logged back in but my name is changed to that gibberish e-mail, my recommened and saved book are gone, and it says i dont have a pay plan anymore....i summit all this info to there ticket system, get an auto response in my e-mail with a link to the ticket to check status, click the link, page doesnt exist, 72 hours later i get fed up, tell to forget ill just cancel my sub, since i cant get any support, 24 hours later i get a response "we deleted ur account like requested, here the updated ticket link" link still doesnt work, i didnt ask them to delete my subscription, and completely ignored any and all the issues i expressed in the ticket...120 hours later still no access to the content i pay for... still no acknowledgement or response to any of the issues in the ticket..... complete garbage

J'ai annulé mon abonnement scrib il y a plusieurs mois et les prélèvements continuent. Impossible de s'en sortir depuis qu'ils ont basculé sur Everand... C'est du vol. Impossible d'avoir un service client ! J'ai fait des tickets via un formulaire (bien difficile à dénicher) et on me fait une réponse automatique en espagnol qui ne résout rien : on me donne la procédure d'annulation que j'ai suivie il y a plusieurs mois... Scandaleux ! Je vais être obligée de faire opposition sur ma CB à cause de ces voleurs. A fuir.

Their new system where they randomly block your access to most of their content without warning for the rest of the month after you've read 1-3 books is crazy. First of all, the whole point of paying $12 a month for a service like this as opposed to taking advantage of free ebook and audiobook apps through the local library is on-demand access to content. Making me wait several weeks completely removes any former incentive for me to give them money. Secondly, they're not transparent or upfront about either the existence of this policy at all, or about what exactly the policy is. They just vaguely state that they "have limits" but what are the limits? What titles do they apply to? How could someone who was actually interested in paying them for this ripoff of a "service" intentionally engage with the app so as to choose the books they wanted to use up the allotted access on? It's sad to me that the only reason this app is still profitable is all the users that don't really use it but have forgotten to cancel their monthly subscriptions.
