My test appointment was cancelled one day prior to the task actually taking place. I couldn‘t take the test and I‘m not able to reschedule it. The money won‘t be refunded. ETS is a highly unethical company in a corrupt oligopolistic market.

Rip-off!!!
i am so mad and disappointed !! My Special Home Edition was not possible due to technical problems, the technical support was useless. I've been waiting for an answer since june. In the hotline, I am referred to the email. In June I wanted a full refund, this email is ignored too! Just stay away from this rip-off!

Worst. Company. Ever.
Worst. Company. Ever.
They simply take your money and then it is impossible to get in touch with them.
Tried to take the toefl home edition twice but had technical issues. Tried to book the test in a test center but it is impossible to get hold of someone so that I don't end up paying the fee twice.
Have been queing in their online chat for hours and when it was finally my turn to start a live chat with an agent "the connection got lost".

The worst testing experience ever!
I have used TOEFL ibt Special Home Edition test twice and both times ETS has lost my Speaking component of the test which I only managed to figure out via a phone call to the USA. My scholarship to the USA entirely depends on the receipt of the test results which I have never received. It is utterly unbelievable and absolutely unacceptable. I mean, I can probably understand if there's a technical glitch once but not TWO TIMES! It has been 50 days since I took the first TOEFL test at home and I am still being kept in the limbo waiting for some sort of explanation from ETS. The only thing I heard from them is that they are sorry. They charge money for their services but they miserably fail to fulfill their obligations and mess out the lives of people who depend on the results of the test.

The absolute worst
Absolutely, the worst business execution, design, and communication I could imagine. Communication is nonexistent — waiting on hold takes over 2.5 hours, and no one answers. If you call within a few hours of closing, you will be on hold until hours after they’ve likely all gone home. The only way any contact has been made is through Twitter, and even then, they simply direct you to FAQ pages.
Especially during COVID-19, the system to schedule at-home tests is abysmal, at best. You have to guess an exact date and time to see if a proctor is available? Coming up with a booking system seems pretty elementary — one would think that a company that tests competence would have at least a little. Once you begin your booked test (for whatever time you manage to get), you have to wait for the proctor and then wait for them to run the applicable tests and deem whether it’s good enough. It’s understandable that the environment should seem secure and cheating-free, but for other people to be able to say that they were failed due to the volume of their computer’s fan?
Lastly, they have absolutely no regard or respect for their customers. This test is issued to professionals to determine eligibility for employment. To toy with that and allow your business to affect people so negatively is despicable. People are planning their life around this test, and ETS will move the date that the results are posted, or when the test can be taken without any notice whatsoever. In a particular instance, the results have been delayed an additional 3 weeks from the original posting date, due to the test being taken from home. However, the test is the same, submitted in the same manner, and review the same way. In the current environment of COVID-19, ETS is punishing those that could have been negatively affected by in-person testing, those who are complying with stay-at-home orders, and those who are socially conscious of the current situations. I hope someone displaces or dismantles this horrendous business soon so few people have to go through this brutally painstaking process.

Trying to get in contact with someone…
Trying to get in contact with someone through the phone. Forget about it. I have been waiting for over 2 hours every day for the past week. I am trying to submit my score to graduate programs and will not process my scores unless I call. When I was finally reached by an agent they just said there is nothing they can do and that they will contact the financial department, and have not heard back since.

Terrible Experience w/ Significant Consequences
With the changes in society due to COVID-19, I have been forced to take the GRE at home via ETS and ProctorU. ETS' service throughout the entire process has been absolutely abhorrent, and their partner company, ProctorU has been extremely ineffective as well.
What happened:
After payment through ETS, the process was unnecessarily slow and very unclear regarding test scheduling. Despite charging $250, ETS was extremely unhelpful. When I was finally able to schedule a test through ProctorU, I was prompted to go through a number of steps including a diagnostic test of my equipment for test readiness, which I did successfully.
Despite my computer passing ProctorU's diagnostic "test your equipment" four separate times the day before my exam, it was confirmed with me just as I was beginning the exam that I was not able to take the test due to my camera being insufficient. The tech support was subpar at best, and eventually, it was determined that ProctorU's diagnostic test was incorrect in determining whether computers are in fact ready to take the exams.
I was instructed to connect with ETS about rescheduling my exam. ETS put me on hold for a total of three hours, all while ending the call multiple times. When I finally was able to speak with a live person, they told me to talk to proctoru about rescheduling (who had just sent me to ETS). Both companies indicated that there was nothing they could do to help, and 8 hours later, I am still waiting on correspondence from either.
I had informed my graduate programs of choice that my GRE scores would be available to them in the days following my scheduled test. Because these will not be available due to the fumbled situation from both ETS and ProctorU, there is a strong likelihood that I will not be able to be admitted for the upcoming year. I am strongly considering legal action, as this series of mistakes by these companies may significantly impact the next year of my life and career.

Incompetence Personified
I guess with growth and a monopoly comes incompetence and indifference. I've been trying to get my test scores for 2 months. This started in January. After getting hung up on by their automated system 4 times I finally was able to speak with a person. I went through all their request information and then she cut me off. I called back immediately and was connected to a difference rep. I spent over an hour on the phone while the rep that I was speaking with bumbled through the information multiple times and finally was unable to enter it for some unknown reason, but she said she would escalate the request and they would call back in 2 days. I never heard from ETS and called back a week later. They told me they had no record of either my request or an escalation. I went through the entire routine again and this time it only took 45 minutes. I was told that they would call me back and after 2 more weeks I hadn't heard a thing. I called back and they told me that they had sent out the report the day before I called. Today I get a letter stating that they couldn't find my score report, but they were keeping my money. Sorry, but too bad. If I could give them a score of less than 1 star I would.
