I really wish the there was another option for testing than this awful company. Online testing does not work, but they'll take your money and have you pay for another test even though it was their fault. Takes over a month to get test results. Customer Service not helpful. Worst company to work with.

Avoid if there is any possible way. Took my money and send the results to the institution who asked. There was no mention of a time limit when I bought it so when I later returned to get the results myself they were in no way possible to give me even though I already paid for them. Customer "service" offered no help or compensation but instead tried to sell me another test LOL.

Hello I called and spoke to someone for over 40 minutes and the issue is still not resolved. We have ordered test scores now twice and they still haven’t arrived. I need to get the test emailed directly to the school or sent expeditiously. Someone’s life is on the line. She has a limited window before she has to go back to Brazil. Please help!!

I paid $130 to take a praxis test at home. I passed all of the equipment checks and went through their pre testing process. The proctor still would not allow me to take my test because he said my internet was unstable even though I passed every pre check they offered. Their testing advocacy team deemed it as my fault and refused a refund even though their equipment is the reason I could not take the test.

Worst customer service.

I paid for the test. So did my friend. We both got robbed. I took the exam, and days later they cancelled my scores with a vague accusation: “you may have violated guidelines.” That’s it. No proof. No evidence. No specific rule mentioned. When I asked for details, they refused to tell me anything. They just kept saying “review the policies” and told me to pay again to retake it. My friend had a technical issue right at the start of his exam – couldn’t even get in. Instead of helping, ETS cancelled his test and told him to pay again too. They don’t care about fairness or students. They just want your money twice. You will waste hours, stress out, and get zero transparency. Not recommended even if you have a single penny to spare. Absolute nightmare. Save yourself the frustration and use literally any other English test (IELTS, Duolingo, etc.). ETS is a scam.

They are the worse and unfortunately they are the only one. I waiting for the class action suit. They have outsourced all their jobs and scam you when you want to report grades.

My experience with ETS has been a complete disaster that is now seriously jeopardizing my university applications. I took the TOEFL iBT Home Edition on July 8, 2025, and my scores were abruptly canceled based on a baseless allegation that I received assistance. I can state with 100% certainty that I completed the test alone and followed every rule to the letter. The real nightmare began when I tried to appeal this false accusation. I sent my first formal appeal on August 11th. I heard nothing. I sent a follow-up email after two weeks. Again, complete silence. I sent a third email demanding an explanation and evidence. To this day, I have not received a single acknowledgment from the ETS Office of Testing Integrity. It is absolutely unacceptable to accuse a test-taker of cheating, provide zero evidence, and then completely ignore all attempts at communication. Their lack of response is not just unprofessional; it's actively harming my future. My application deadlines are approaching, and because of ETS's false claim and administrative negligence, I am at risk of missing my opportunity to attend university. Be very careful when dealing with this organization. If something goes wrong, you will be on your own, facing serious accusations with absolutely no support or communication. My situation proves they have a system that can ruin your academic prospects without any accountability. I would give zero stars if I could.
