Their customer service is horrible and their delivery of score report lacks a tracking number. I didn't receive my paper score report after I waited for it over 2 months and I had to contact the customer service to ask them to send another copy. What's worse is that the paper score report is not official report that I can use it to apply for univeristies by myself. The official report can only be sent to the university only via post by ETS, which takes longer delivery time and could cost the test taker extra money if the universities which you want to apply for is not in the ETS designation list or lacks institution code in their online system. I have asked clear questions in this regard over 10 times with the customer service in order to make sure if they can send my official report via E-mail or if I have to pay for the extra postal delivery of my official report. BUT they cannot answer these direct and simple questions correctly and some of them even asked me to call their service phone number in the US or transfered my case to the professional group who has to take 7-10 business days to handle my case even if I had already told them I am outside the US and my questions are urgent to be solved! In the end, I was lucky enough to receive a clear reply from their customer service responsible for Germany area and my univeristy can accept my online score report! This whole experience with the TOEFL customer service absolutely sucks! Besides, the free delivery of the official report can only be applied before you take the test. How can the test taker make sure that their score would meet the requirement of the univerities in which they are interested before they take the test? And this free service is only limited for the univerisities who have their codes in the ETS system. If the universities lack the code, the test taker has to fax or send the format by post to the US with paying extra money for this delivery sevice! The way that TOEFL offers this delivery service obviously reveals that they are money-making machine. Furthermore, they are the running dog of China because Taiwan is categorized as China in the colums of the nationality of the test taker. Even though the fee of TOEFL exam is cheaper than IELTS, I won't take TOEFL exam next time!

The worst service ever. I will never ever use ETS's service again.

TOEFL Home Edition is not working!!! This is cheating. Do not trust it! I watched my son during the exam. We have cams in the room. The exam was interrupted by the ETS system browser claiming a "security issue" mentioning that my son was using the mobile during the technical break. Liers, he was not using his phone. After 4-10 weeks of waiting, ETS has accused him of cheating with strange documentation provided to the underaged person without any legal rights to do that.

Being in contact with the customer service ist just frustrating because they DO NOT UNDERSTAND the problem and keep sending the exact same answers which do not help in any way!

Customer service is fatalist,barely audible and their comprehension level in English is pitiful. I write this as a native English speaker. My daughter, who is French and who has also resided in Scotland for 2 years while attending public school consistently received good grades.They placed her as Upper-Intermediate. She is known as being fluent. The grading system is unfairly skewed and the average results that signify which level the person qualifies with overall is at best opaque. Look at their low average in customer satisfaction. They are pathetic!

I was supposed to sit for my GRE exam in March. The day before exam, I ran through all the checklist again just to make everything is going to be okay on the exam date. This includes the system check provided by ETS. Then on the exam day, I sat for an hour since I had issues with the technical provider system (not ETS) as it has further check down the route. And after chatting with the customer service of the technical provider, they say it is something to do with my hardware, therefore making it impossible for me to sit for the exam unless I change my hardware (I'm a broke uni student) The issue starts here, I asked for a refund since there is no solution to this issue. I first contacted in March, waited until April, then contacted again in April just to get reply saying they will ask another team to review my situation. And now it's May, I asked them again and the answer is the same. The amount might not be significant for some people, but to me that amount could explain whether I'm going to survive for the month or not. And the way they handling the situation is not helping either. It's a poor that GRE only can be taken from this company. Otherwise, please find other provider. We really need no inefficient company in this climate. At least, not a kind of company that is benefited from contract like ETS.

Alerts scam. I was supposed to take my TOEFL exam at home and unfortunately there was a technical problem from their side. The exam was interrupted during the speaking section and we spent two hours trying to fix the issue. Then the technician asked me to reschedule my exam. I have been waiting for two weeks without any reply from their side to my emails. They do not even care that students have deadlines and they are playing with their future. I'm so disappointed how this administration treats its customers. No care and no respect.
