straight up scam, we paid for a test, their website didnt let us take it, we tried to email, no response for 3 weeks, tried to refund in paypal, paypal rejected, and ETS website shows that we OWE them money even tho paypal refused the charge back. stay away, its straight up fraud at this point.

99% 1 star reviews, should say it all... Like others on here, I paid for a test that I couldn't take because of Covid disruptions. ETS now refuse to refund the moneys because of "internal policies", even though I am in need and have laid out my dire situation to them. Sharmala S. possibly the worst customer service advisor I have ever dealt with, rude and unhelpful is an understatement. Shame on you ETS for taking money for tests that you don't even deliver.

Worst company ever, I had to take an exam for them and didn't had my passport (I lost it) and they won't let me do the exam or reschedule, the only way is to make a full payment again. Plus that, their call center service is rude, not only rude but incredibly aggressive. Customer service 0

If there was a score less than 1, they definitely deserve it. ets doesn't care about anything other than earning money in every possible way!! I had the home ibt TOEFL in January 2022, the proctor terminated my test without any specific reason!(She proposed that I have come back late to my exam from my 10 min break that was absolutely incorrect).ets even did not answer to my request to give me an evidence that I have come back late!!. I lost my matching process which was very important for me due to this illegal action of the ets and my Toefl not prepared for the deadline. Moreover I have lost the registration fee($CA 390) that they don't care about it too. After 1.5 month they finally answered to my numerous emails and phone calls with this answer "you can pay and take part in a new session of Toefl exam"!!!!!!!

I registered to take the at-home version of the GRE in January 2021. I reviewed all of the guidelines and requirements, and downloaded the "ETS browser." On test day, I opened the browser to discover that it requires that the user allow access to all files, contacts, history, etc on their computer...in perpetuity. I was astonished. Absolutely NOWHERE on their site does ETS or ProctorU indicate that you forego all privacy and provide them all data and information on any and everything you've ever done, anyone you've ever contacted, etc. Needless to say, this gross and abhorrent abuse of privacy failed all firewall and security software checks, so I was unable to complete the test. Rather than a refund in exchange for providing me absolutely nothing, ETS offered to let me "reschedule for free." Of course this was pointless, at it would still require giving up all privacy, and fail all firewall checks, in the future, as it had in the past. But I rescheduled, because it was the only option that I had. As the new date approached, I decided to pay even more to reschedule further into the future, while I determined my options. Eventually, I canceled entirely. ETS has refused to provide me any refund, despite acknowledging that their site in no way indicates this required invasion of privacy (which would be illegal on any other site). They have stolen more than $350 from me for providing absolutely, literally, nothing...other than a few emails with customer service. What a business model, right? Give me $350. Okay, in exchange I give you...nothing. Ever. ETS is an abhorrent, abysmal company with absolutely miserable and pathetic customer service and no respect whatsoever for their customers. There are MANY higher education institutions that no longer require the GRE or GMAT for admission, because they have also grown frustrated with the ETS monopoly (and its ever-shifting scoring guidelines that require admissions officers to review charts of scoring by test date year). ETS are literally thieves playing a shell game. They just have an LLC and legal representation, as well as a monopoly on college admissions tests...so they know they can get away with it, and don't care how that affects you.
