I ordered 2 x Altesino, 2 x Florita Brunellos on line and, due to cold temperatures, asked vendor to hold the order. More than a week later, I wrote asking for a status update. Chase wrote to confirm the wines were in stock and the order was pulled for delivery although it would not go out for a week because Estate was changing warehouses. Approximately ten days later, after not receiving a shipping notice, I wrote to ask for an update. Chase informed me that the Altesino was down to one bottle and asked if I would accept a substitute vintage at the same price. The substitute was a lesser vintage Estate sells for a lower price. Vendor declined to give a discount, I declined the substitution and gave instructions to ship the three remaining bottles. The next day, Tony (not Chase) wrote to tell me Estate was completely out of Altesino and asked if I would accept delivery of 2 x Florita. This latest communication was not accompanied by an explanation or an apology. I declined and cancelled the order.
Estate required me to chase them over the course of more than a week and either wasn’t aware of its inventory (despite multiple representations that it had it in stock) or sold wine to another customer it had committed to sell to me.
I am tolerant of well intentioned mistakes however this series of events cannot be readily characterized as such.

Order a 2016 Mouton Rothschild and the wine came two months later with a damaged label (not mentioned on the listing). This is my last purchase from this disgraced vendor.

Irresponsible company and customer service
I purchased a vintage 2007 Kongsgaard Chardonnay and was extremely careful placing it in my subzero wine fridge directly upon receipt. Unfortunately, when I went to open it a few years later it was spoiled with a foul smell and orange color. I contacted the company who provided an unhelpful response, saying the following: “As a wine connoisseur, I am sure that you understand there is an inherent risk of purchasing any aged wine; even if the bottle has been stored properly. I can assure you that the bottle was kept in the proper conditions up until it was sold to you in April 2022. We are unable to offer as refund as it has been over 3 years since the sale. However, I am happy to offer you complementary ground shipping should you decide to place any future orders.” Incredibly disappointed in this company’s response, along with the audacity to try to do business with me again by offering ground shipping. There are a lot of wine brokers out there, so make sure to do your research before you purchase any wine from them. No one should have to take said “inherent risk” of almost $1000. So disappointed! I’m escalating this to the Better Business Bureau.

Thank you for your feedback. As previously explained, we are unable to refund this order, as it was placed over 3 years ago. The bottle is now well past its professional drink dates, and there is no way for us to confirm that it has been stored in the proper temperature and humidity conditions since the purchase. Additionally, our return policy clearly states that any return/refund request must be made within 30 days of delivery. The majority of reputable wine retailers have a similar policy. We wish you all the best!
"Return & Refund Policy
Once an order is received, a member of our team will reach out within three business days to confirm a shipping date. Prior to shipment, customers can modify or cancel their orders, either by replying to the order confirmation email, writing to [email protected], or calling (512) 501-1536. If customers choose to reduce or cancel their orders, refunds will be issued within three business days.
After orders are shipped, all sales are final except in cases where product is damaged during transit, or if customers identify one or more condition issues that were not disclosed by our team prior to shipment. To request a refund for either of these reasons, customers must furnish photographic proof of the damaged product within 30 days after the product is delivered. Photos can be submitted via email to [email protected], or customers may call (512) 501-1536 for assistance. If a return request is approved, we will coordinate the return shipment of the damaged product at our expense and issue a refund within three business days after said product is received at our facility. Regardless of the reason for any return, if a store credit is not issued, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount."

Order was delivered late and incomplete
Order was delivered late and incomplete. FedEx failed on FOUR consecutive delivery dates. Package when delivered was missing two individual boxes (ordered but evidently not charged for).

Wine arrived late
Wine arrived late. I was traveling for the 4th. When the driver delivered it, I was away. I spoke to him remotely. The driver suggested I refuse it to be returned and shipped again. Estate was prompted in answering emails, but refused to ship a new bottle.
I had a similar issue with wine.com.
They refunded me right away.

You shipped it to the wrong address
You shipped it to the wrong address. When I contacted you about the issue you told me it was your mistake and that FedEx would return it to you and you would credit my credit card. Then I received a notice from FedEx saying they delivered it to the mail room at the club ... I'M NOT THERE !!!
