I would give Marta five stars
I would give Marta five stars! She helped us plan our 13 day trip to Portugal and Spain and did an awesome job! She was on maternity leave during our actual trip in May. Espiritu Travel did not do a good job following up on the last minute details: 1. We had changed one of our hotels with Marta. But they did not let the guide know so we had to wait 30 minutes for her to arrive. 2. In Lisbon, they gave us the wrong directions for the car rental, which resulted in a 2 hour delay to our day. 3. In the Douro Valley, they booked one winery, but gave us the directions for one in the direction one hour away. Espiritu did provide a nice bottle of wine for their mistake. 4. The morning of our departure (of 4am) the driver did not show and we had to arrange our own transportation to the airport. Espiritu did compensate us for this expense. Marta was 100% awesome. But a big part of paying this cost is to ensure things run smoothly while traveling. We did not find this the case. It may just have been that Marta was away, but Espiritu should be able to make sure they have the staff to ensure seamless travel, regardless of whether Marta is there. While they did give us a bottle of wine and compensate our cost to the airport, they basically said "we are sorry this happened." Paying the amount we did, "I'm sorry" will not be enough to recommend this agency to anyone else.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your trip. I am pleased to read that you had a good experience planning your trip with Marta. I understand that some aspects of your trip did not go as smoothly as they should have, regardless of whether Marta was here or not. I wanted to address each of your points: 1) Rental car: I have reviewed the address in your travel documents. The address provided matches the address shown on the attached invoice, and the link is correct. The taxi driver may have entered the information incorrectly, as that street name has multiple locations: one in the city center (the correct one) and two outside the city. 2) The last-minute change to your hotel in Granada resulted in our reservation department inadvertently not advising the guide of the change. The two hotels were 10 minutes' walk apart. 3) The error with the winery name was my oversight when I created the travel documents. I entered the driving directions correctly, but did not update the name of the winery, as it was a different one from the one we usually use. 4) The airport transfer was confirmed and was a failure of the driver, who did not arrange for another driver to take his place since he was unable to arrive, nor did he alert you or us of it. I hope that despite these minor oversights, you were able to enjoy your trip to Portugal and all the activities and experiences you had. We are committed to ensuring that every trip runs smoothly, allowing travelers to enjoy a fantastic experience. We are proud to maintain a 4.9-star rating, based on 486 reviews on KimKim and 35 reviews on Zicasso, respectively, as well as a 4.7-star rating out of 188 reviews here on Trustpilot. Your comments are invaluable, and I appreciate that you took the time to provide us with this information. Warm regards, Karin and the team at Espíritu Travel
