I paid for Epic Will but I never heard from them. Their website appears to be shut down. It appears to have been a scam.

Epic Will was created, not because the world needed another online estate planning company, but because we know how important it is to ensure everyone, young and elderly, can tell their epic story and provide safety and security for their loved ones throughout every chapter of their life. Epic Will is an online early estate planning service that allows you to create a simple and affordable legally binding Will specific to your state in as little as 5 minutes for less cost than a trip to Target. We’re not going to try and hook you every year with ongoing fees, trap you in a non-customized Trust (to line our pockets), or make you pay for ongoing updates. For one cost, you'll get an Advance Directive, Health Care Power of Attorney, Financial Power of Attorney, and HIPAA release. Plus, we offer FREE updates for life so you can update your story anytime you start a new chapter. It is our pleasure to meet you and work with you on creating YOUR story.

No flexibility. Don’t use unless you’re doing a very standard cookie cutter will. Even then you may have issues. I couldn’t complete mine and I’m seeking a refund

I'd like to know how the will is laid out before I pay. I don't know what I'm paying for. Oh well. Bless yall 🙃

Good Morning Wanda - Thank you so much for considering using Epic Will. We are grateful. I believe we have reached out to the proper email, but if not, we would love to help you understand what we do and even if we are the right avenue to take for you and your family. Your statement above was regarding how the Will is laid out before you pay and that you don’t know what you are paying for. We have addressed this concern in detail on our FAQ’s as well as the pricing page of our site. The second FAQ is: “What documents do your packages include?” To which the answer is: Last Will & Testament. This includes a Guardianship & a Testamentary Trust for children. Advance Directive which includes the Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will & HIPAA release. Durable Financial Power of Attorney. Personal Property Memorandum. Once you have competed and downloaded your package, at the end of your printout, we provided a place to list items that aren’t bank accounts for beneficiaries (like watches, cars, etc.). That way, if you decide you no longer want to leave that watch to that person, you can change it without redoing and re-notarizing your Will! All of these documents have been written by attorney’s who have been Estate Planning Attorney’s for over 30 years and have been written to the exact specifications for each state. Furthermore, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee just to make sure you are happy with what you received. Please feel to reach back out to us if there is anything we can do to serve you and your family at [email protected]. We’ll be waiting to serve you!

They charge upfront and provide no consultation. When asked for a refund they declined.

While I’m grateful you gave us a try, as I communicated to you over email – everything you stated in your review was plainly communicated on our site before you ever began. I’ll address each point, and happy to address any others as well: 1. They charge upfront. Correct. We literally have an FAQ called: “Why do you charge first”. Here is how it reads: “The whole point of this service, and you being here is to DO YOUR WILL! If you pay for it (i.e. “have skin in the game”), you’re more likely to actually FINISH it, which is why we’re here in the first place.” 2. They provide no consultation. Correct. We have three FAQ’s that address this. 1) “What if I have questions?”, 2) “I don’t understand any of these terms,” and 3) “Do I have access to an attorney to ask questions”. That last one we’ll expound upon: “Short answer - nope. Epic Will is simply an online service that walks you through a simple and guided step by step process, asking you all the questions necessary to complete these documents for YOUR specific state. We can answer questions that are technical in nature, but we are not a law firm, and cannot answer questions specific to you and your family. We have intentionally kept our product offerings simple to keep the price down. You are welcome to try EpicWill.com, and if you are not comfortable with the process and decide an attorney is the best route, we'll gladly work with you. We can also help recommend resources to find an awesome attorney near you! 3. When asked for a refund, they declined. Correct. We state in our refund policy clearly that a refund is predicated on the documents not being legally binding in your state and that it hasn’t been downloaded. The customer had downloaded his documents. When you stated that you didn’t understand the health care questions, and we provided every amount of assistance to help you understand it, and asked what specifically you didn’t understand so we could help…you refused to answer the question and allow us the opportunity to help. So we did clearly communicate that we charge up front. We clearly communicated on our site that we do not provide consultation and we clearly communicated what our refund policy was. We’re still happy to work with you if you are willing to work with us and give us insight into your questions so we can work to continue improving our product. Thank you,
