The Oud is top quality and the shipping is very fast

The first order with Ensar Oud was everything I had expected and more. Let me start by saying I am an historian, an academic and perfume enthusiast and collector. I started to look into Ensar Oud as part of a research paper I am writing on the Gulf economy. Of course, I know and appreciate oud in perfumes, and I have many ouds. My academic interest, paired with my constant search for perfumes, brought me to start to appreciate oud oil as its own, versus as an ingredient in perfumes. First, from an olfactory point of view, Ensar Oud ouds are a far cry from other cheaper ouds I found on the marked, both in terms of complexity of the smell and in terms of performance. Oud from EO is like a whole micro-universe, full of nuances and development. Truly stunning. I was really able to appreciate the quality of the raw material. And second, from an historical and economic point of view (what I am most versed in, since its my job) I think EO ouds are a true rarity. They are not just “perfumed oils”, they are pieces of history. And truly valuable for this. These ouds tell a story, they memorialise a piece of history that would be otherwise forever lost. For me, they act as a primary source, a bright window on a long-lost word. I also appreciate the accurate, poetic, informative description of every item on its website. I read somewhere that this obvious gift with words might be seen as a negative, deceptive trait, aimed at selling. But for me it is an important part of the experience; scents and material tell a story and it is crucial to be able to put these stories into words, even more when done so beautifully. Finally, on a practical note, my order came with seven (7!!) little free samples, something I truly appreciate for it gives me the opportunity to try and compare different raw oils. Shipping was also quick and careful. Truly a fantastic experience, something I would surely recommend to everyone interested in oud scents and rare materials.

I initially loved purchasing from Ensar in 2021, and still do, as I did find out his quality in packaging is more upgraded with actual velvet packaging. In addition, he doesn’t disappoint with the quality and authenticity of his sourcing in terms of raw materials. In addition, their service follow up does show that he himself does see the review and cares about his clients no matter the cost of the purchase.
