NOT WHERE I WOULD INVEST UPDATE: Owner of the company is now harassing me to take this review down. He said I could sell my shares only if I take this review down. I did not receive 11% The rate they say is not what I'm receiving and when asked about it they ignore you. I went to pull my shares and there is no way to do it. Read the fine print, you can only pull your shares after 3 YEARS. My emails were finally answered, the company owner himself called me and mansplained why I "couldn't do math". After I told him I did not want to speak with him further and I'd pull my shares in 3 years, he continued to contact me for a month after.

*UPDATE* As of 8/21 this investors shares have been sold and she has received 100% of her investment. In just under 10 months this investor realized a 11.1% IRR on the investment with Energea. This review is completely inaccurate and we have started the process to have it removed based on factual inaccuracies throughout the review. We have reached out to this investor several times in an attempt to help them better understand their investment and not heard back from them. We use IRR for a return metric as any investment that is rooted in cash flows would. The IRR calculation takes into consideration the value of the shares, cash dividends paid and the length of time the investments have been deployed. This investor is simply looking at the cash yield from the dividends and not considering the appreciation to the value of their shares. Investments in solar projects are inherently illiquid investments and we mention in multiple places on our site as well as in our Offering Circular (that we recommend all investors read throughly before investing) that there is a mandatory three year hold period for the investments. In light of this, we have put this investors shares up for a full liquidation as of today 8/8. With any investment opportunity it is important to fully understand the investment and do appropriate due diligence before making an investment. If anyone has any questions about our investments, how we calculate returns, or the liquidity of the investment please reach out to us at [email protected], we'd be happy to help you understand the investment and how it works.
