My experience with Enchanted Ink…
My experience with Enchanted Ink Publishers was extremely disappointing, and unfortunately, I feel I need to share what happened so other authors can be careful before spending their money. I paid approximately $4,500 to Enchanted Ink Publishers with the expectation that my book would be professionally handled and published as promised. During the sales process, I was shown information and given assurances that made me believe I was dealing with a legitimate publishing service. However, after making the payments, my experience was completely different from what had been promised. Despite paying such a significant amount, I did not receive the level of publishing service or deliverables I was expecting. I was repeatedly given promises regarding my book, but those promises were not fulfilled in a way that justified the amount I had paid. Instead, I spent a considerable amount of money and time chasing updates and trying to get the work completed. I have retained the communications, promises, payment records, and other documentation related to my experience. Based on those records and what I personally experienced, I have serious concerns about the way this company operates and the representations that were made to me before and after payment. The biggest frustration was that I paid thousands of dollars expecting actual publishing work in return, but I did not feel that I received value anywhere close to what I paid for. The entire experience left me feeling misled and extremely disappointed. I strongly recommend that authors do extensive research before working with any publishing company, get every promised service and deliverable clearly documented in writing, and avoid making large payments based solely on verbal promises or sales presentations. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst professional experiences I have had. Based on my personal experience, I would not work with Enchanted Ink Publishers again, and I would not recommend them to other authors without doing extremely thorough due diligence first.
