I am a web developer, and have been using ECT since 2006. That's over ten years of using ECT for every single one of my clients' eCommerce solutions. I have one client in particular, a dog training service, and with the help of the amazing ECT support staff, developed a custom database and hooked it in to the ECT code and database - and it's been running smoothly for over a decade. Not a single upgrade has failed. And the best thing about ECT, unlike some other "free" shopping carts out there, is that they stand behind their work - the forum gets questions answered usually within a day. And if you're in the United States and have any reservations about purchasing this software because they're in the UK - please don't. They are more accessible and available to answer questions than my next door neighbor. I don't know how they manage this without a staff of thousands, but they do. I've used Ecommercetemplates for at least 8 years. I've compared the cart to others such as WooCommerce. ECT is a far greater value and comes with a complete set resources for both the customer presentation and the order managment panel. Support is ALWAYS top-notch. I started using Ecommercetemplates after several disappointments with other shopping cart software. Some carts looked nice but lacked the features I was looking for. Other carts had nice features but were horrible to use and came with bad support. And finally after finding a cart with the features I liked with good support quickly discovered that it was very expensive to have. So discovering Ecommercetemplates was a joy. I have always had excellent support even when I have pushed the product to its limits. They have helped me do some very interesting things that I couldn't do in other cart software. And I especially like owning the software as opposed to paying huge monthly "rental" fees as most companies do. Very affordable as well.

I have been using an ecommerce template for 4 years now and have found it easy to use - from initial set up through to updates and general maintence. Before you choose the template you want you can play around with the 'demo store' it's a great interactive feature which helps to familiarise yourself with the layouts of both the storefronts and control panel. There are also loads of video tutorials which act as a step by step guide to go through all the main steps of setting up your site and enhancing your site. (I've used these many times when a written tutorial has gone over my head!) Once everything has been set up and your store is live, the support in place from Ecommerce Templates is excellent - the forums (which are just one click from your own admin control panel) offer advice for those just starting out (like I was!) through to the more seasoned pros. There are updates available on a regular basis too (again, accessed through your own control panel) Overall, Ecommerce templates gets a massive thumbs up from me - highly recommended!
