I ultimately got scammed
initially had a positive experience with EbookWritingPros because they successfully edited my book. Unfortunately, my experience changed dramatically afterward. After the editing was completed, I began receiving what appeared to be opportunities for my book, including emails claiming it could receive placement with Barnes & Noble and later that it had been selected to be featured in The New York Times Magazine. Each opportunity required me to pay thousands of dollars. These claims raised red flags, so I decided to do my own research. I contacted the organizations directly and learned information that did not match what I had been told. When I asked EbookWritingPros for complete documentation and proof to support these opportunities, I stopped receiving responses. The individuals I dealt with identified themselves as Jack Mason and Jordan Smith. Whether those are their real names or not, they led me to believe my book was receiving recognition that it had not actually earned. I feel that I was misled, and I believe other aspiring authors should proceed with extreme caution. My purpose in sharing this review is to help protect other writers. Publishing a book is a dream for many people, and authors are often excited and vulnerable when they are presented with opportunities that seem too good to be true. I encourage anyone working with this company to independently verify any publishing, marketing, or promotional offers before sending money. I hope my experience helps prevent another aspiring author from going through the same disappointment. Every author deserves honesty, transparency, and ethical treatment
