Dear 1111swim: I can tell by your review that you didn't insert the ear plugs (firmly) enough to (( seal )) the ear canals. Once (sealed), it is impossible for water to enter the ear canal. Most sincerely Mary-customer service Dear 1111swim: Further to my reply above: Our beeswax ear plug is (UNLIKE) any other ear plug for it has Pure Lanolin in it to make it (soft, mouldable and slightly "tacky"); so that when it's inserted, it will (SEAL and stay securely) in the ear canal. If it doesn't SEAL immediately upon insertion, then just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds and it will SEAL and stay sealed. 1111swim, we are with you (all the way) until you get this working well for her. Dear Denise: They WILL BLOCK OUT (( ALL )) his SNORING>>>>>>BUT you have to insert our ear plug to where it SEALS---SEALS--- YES SEALS your ear canals. Regarding any blue residue: Denise, If our ear plug is not ( kneaded ) sufficiently to infuse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug, then some slight residue can be left in the ear upon removal. Regarding "odor" ???? We refer to it as "fragrance". Most people LOVE the fragrance of BEESWAX. Now what you can do: 1. Insert them in (correctly) and be "pleasantly shocked" at how much they block out his snoring. 2. Knead them for at least 20 seconds before inserting them to elimate any residue. OR 3. Dear Jet: They're TOOOOOOO LARGE for your ear canal. That's why they didn't stay. Jet, each of us are ((supposed)) to create the PERFECT size for our own size ear canal. Please follow the below instructions (exactly) and you'll change your tune from "So so" to WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time, and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for at least ( 15-20 ) seconds to make our Beeswax ear plug, (soft and mouldable). NOW if you are an adult women or a man with smaller ear canals; pinch off about 1/3rd to make a smaller ear plug. 2. Then push and flatten it, (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug (( SEAL )), yes (( SEAL )) your ear canal. IMPORTANT: If the ear plug doesn't SEAL immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against it for a few more seconds and it will warm and SEAL PERFECTLY; and be sure to push them in far enough so that the (( whole ear plug )) is in your canal. 3. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. With both ears SEALED, (( NOW )) LISTEN TO THE SILENCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh Hayley: SURPRISE !!! Our "Mighty Plugs" really are the BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's what you don't know about our Beeswax ear plug: From what you've said, I can easily tell that our Beeswax ear plug is TOOOOOOO BIG for your ear canal. Just after you've (kneaded) the ear plugs to make them (soft and mouldable), your are supposed to create the PERFECT SIZE for your own ear canal. Hayley, pinch off at least 1/3rd and insert the remaining 2/3rds of the ear plug. When you push in a smaller size, you'll get it to SEAL and stay sealed; blocking out MORE SOUND than any other ear plug IN THE WORLD !!!!!! Keep in touch and let me know how that worked for you. Dear Australian User: It's an easy fix!!!! (( Your body )) has absorbed all the Lanolin Oil from our ear plugs. Just get a small quantity of Pure Lanolin Oil and work into each ear plug just ONE drop. That will make them soft and mouldable again and block out like no other ear plug can!!
