Dear customer: Just for the first or second wearing, there may be a slight residue of pure Lanolin. The Lanolin is nurturing for the skin and makes the ear plug slightly tacky, so that it stays securely in the ear canal and really blocks out much. Thank you Mary-customer service

Dear Randy: This fine ultra-high blocking ear plug is too good for your daughter to not use. The reason her hair got involved with the ear plug is because she didn't press or flatten the ear plug against her ear opening (firm enough), and it was protruding our too far. All of us gals in the office have hair down to our shoulders and when the ear plug is flat against the ear opening, the hair can never get involved. Kindest regards Mary-customer service

Dear Ernet: I know exactly why that is occuring. When you insert the ear plugs, you must push them a (bit more firmly) against your ear opening (until you feel a good seal). If it doesn't seal immediately, then simply keep your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for just a few more seconds, and it will seal well and stay sealed until you are ready to remove it. When you have them sealed, you will have the highest blocking ear plug in the world doing for you, what it does best. Kindest regards Mary-customer service
