Dear Kelleigh: We understand and know the answer. The reason the ear plugs worked great at blocking out the first week, is that they were TACKY and SEALED your ear canal; thereby (( blocking out sound )) PERFECTLY, just like they are capable of doing! So, why did they lose their tackiness????>>>>> Kelleigh, your body, is deficient in natural body oil, and it ABSORBED the lanolin from the ear plugs, making them drier and unable to SEAL well and block out well. To fix it: Simply obtain a small quantity of pure Lanolin oil and work into each ear plug ONE drop. That will make it tacky again and sealling perfectly. Also, start taking internally some natural oils in your diet like olive, flax, avacado or peanut oil and by increasing the natural oil in your body, your ear plugs will last and last too.
