Best ear plugs of all the types I have tried
Plugs are blue colored pieces of material that resemles clay. They are hard initially, but if squeezed between thumbs and forefingers for a bit they soften up. If left in a slightly warm place, I leave mine near a warm spot by my computer, they are very soft right away. I push them into my ear with my finger and then flatten with the palm of my hand. The stickiness of the lanolin in them makes them tacky and stick to the ear. They stay in all night. Each one lasts about a month for me, after that the stickiness runs out and the seal and adherence to the ear fail. Only negatives are that after removal a tiny amount of the blue plug sometimes sticks to the ear, easily removed with cotton swab. Second, the blue plug leaves some trace on the pillow cover. Lastly, when new, the plugs leave lanolin on the ear, and it feels sticky, but can be cleaned off with soap, water and washcloth. They help stop me from hearing the clock tick, greatly reduce my husband's snoring, and I do not hear the phone ring in the other room. All of these things are a great positive to me. I would reccoment them to anyone who is kept awake or awoken by sounds.
