I have tried various earplugs and while they would diminish the sound level, I was never really happy with any of them. In addition, as a woman, some of the earplugs were too large. I am VERY pleased with the earplugs from this company. They adapt to each person's ear canal and allowed me to sleep without disturbing sounds for the first time in a long time.
