I had been looking for the best ear protection I could find. I was really looking forward to these ear plugs and anticipated their touted superiority. I was first put off by what appeared to be blue child's play-doh pressed and re-packaged as ear protection. Then, applying the plugs gave me the feeling that the material would break up and then be difficult to remove from my ears. And, as much as I tried to knead and form, and then "seal" the plugs, they were no better, in fact, less effective than the ones I have been using. I find the unplugged ear phones to my Ipod much more sound resistant to the outside world than these. I was shocked and amazed at how I had been duped. Twelve bucks wasted.

These plugs sound great but are not even as good as the cheap foam plugs you can buy anywhere. Not worth the effort.

I dint like them, they didnt work and were made of a blue tack like material that caused an ear ache and left blue bits on my face when i work up.

You were supposed to insert this all natural beeswax ear plug in your ear canal.

Does not work
The earplugs do not work at all.
They are very uncomfortable and are not usable. I am writing this email at 2.26am , Paris time and are unable to sleep because of the snoring. I am bet disappointed in this product.

We wish you would have first written us to ask us how to prepare and insert the ear plugs.
This ultra-high blocking ear plug works WONDERFULLY!
All of us here in the office wear them nightly.
Donna, please follow the directions below and you'll be in for a pleasant surprise and then hopefully you will send in a more appropriate review.
1. The very first time that the ear plugs are prepared for insertion, they require kneading or working through one's fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make them soft, moldable and to disburse the pure Lanolin throughout the ear plugs. After the first time wearing, all insertions afterwards will only require kneading the ear plugs for about 10 seconds.
Pure Lanolin, so nurturing for the skin, is in the ear plug to make it slightly tacky, so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it.
Secondly: Most women feel that the ear plug is a bit (too large) for their ear canals, so just after kneading the ear plug for 20 seconds to make it soft and moldable, they pinch off about 1/3rd before inserting.
2. Now that it is soft and moldable, use the tip of your index finger and push and flatten the ear plug somewhat ( firmly ), IN & AGAINST your ear canal, until you feel a good seal. When inserting the ear plug, be slightly firm and (not be too delicate). If it doesn't seal immediately, just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds, and it will seal the ear canal.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the (same way and insert it exactly the same way) as the first ear plug.
If you prepare and insert the ear plugs as I described above, then you will notice that they seal the ear and block-out wonderfully!

Do not work!
I purchased the earplugs because they promise to block out noise. I lived in an apartment located near train tracks. The sound of the train's horn was unbearable. I really liked my apartment but I was unable to get a good night sleep because of the noise. Unfortunately the earplugs did not work. I could still hear the train's loud horn. I ended up moving out of my apartment.
