can still hear even when on. says that you would not hear anything. not sure if false advertising, or what?

Dear Audrey:
They must SEAL the ear canal. Here's an EASY FIX for that.
After first (kneading or working ) the Beeswax ear plugs through your fingers to make them soft and moldable; push them into the ear canal a (bit further) and keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds (until you feel it SEAL).
That will make a difference!
Audrey, even if you hear a little sound, keep wearing them and soon you'll hear nothing!
Most sincerely

No better than silicone ones
They were ok but didn't block out any more sound for me than silicone ear plugs. Not really worth the money.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsFeb 18, 2019
Dear Chantelle:
THIS IS AN EASY "FIX".
Chantelle, push the ear plug a bit deeper and a bit more "firmly" into your ear canal and allow the ear plug to SEAL.
Once SEALED, you'll be very very surprised! Most likely, you'll hear nothing!
Sincerely

I used these for a long time and just ordered another 12. However, they started to really dry out my earlobes so that they get flaky and bloody which is very uncomfortable. I am using cream on my earlobes and using another type of earplugs right now. They do help block noise better than most.
I had a service question which I left via voice message and email. Both were answered right away.
To be fair, I used these for some time before developing issues. I have been told my symptoms could possibly actually be as a result of a positive detox reaction to the clay ear plugs. I have stopped using them for now but will probably try them again. At that point if I have no further problems I will post again.

Dear Karen:
In 25 years, with over 6 million customers worldwide and over 30,000 testimonials, we (have never) received a report that the ear plugs created any condition that made the ears "bloody"!!!!
They are "all natural" and not "chemical". The only answer that I can give you is STOP using them and consider inserting just cotton in your ears.
Most sincerely

The ear plugs blockout a lot of noise but they aren’t as comfortable as my current ones so I won’t be using them.

Dear Karley:
This is an EASY FIX!
The ear plug is TOO BIG for your ear canal!
After kneading them for 15 seconds to make them soft, then just pinch off about 1/3rd and insert a smaller ear plug. That will do the job.

I ordered the products yearly and very good products. The reason gave 3 stars is because post office delivered to the wrong place and I let know . I had to dispute on charge card . No responce except to call my post office and it wasn’t insured . Jack Dohm

Dear Jack:
I wish I could respond to you, but I can't find you as a customer with just your first name. We attach a "tracking" number to every shipment.
The tracking can be followed from the time it leaves our building to the time and day it arrives at the customers address.

Der Mr. Sanders:
That's an EASY FIX!
Being made of Beeswax, one must insert our ear plugs so that they SEAL the ear canal; then you will being very pleasantly surprised. You most likely, won't hear her.
Mr. Sanders, please follow the instructions below (exactly) and you'll have the best blocking ear plug in the world doing what it does best; BLOCKING OUT!!!!!
1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and ( work it or knead it ) thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it ( soft and malleable ) When the ear plug is soft and malleable, then it’s ready to insert; just follow the next step.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push the ear plug & FLATTEN it ( IN---- AGAINST ) and (INTO) your ear canal, ( until you feel a GOOD SEAL ).
IMPORTANT: If it doesn’t (SEAL) immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds, until it will ((SEAL)) well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & SEALING the ear canals; now listen: you’ll hear much less snoring sound and often no snoring sound at all.
Mr. Sanders, we all wear them too, so please feel free to phone us. If you need help, we'll guide you over the phone to insert them correctly so that they will work PERFECTLY for you. 1-800-226-1884

It does not block out much of the noises from the street. To get the best blocking from them I have to press into the ear-canal very hard till it is actually a bit painful. I think even three stars is too much.
It is better than the normal silicon plugs though.
Thanks for the reply to my review. But I do follow the instructions. The pain is due to the air pressure not because the plugs are not soft.

Oh Svetlana:
Mighty Plugs are made from PURE BEESWAX. Beeswax requires the following:
IMPORTANT: If it doesn’t SEAL immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds, until it will SEAL well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & SEALING the ear canals; now listen: you’ll hear much less sound and often no sound at all.
The ear plug is so soft and malleable, just like dough. They are too soft to cause any pain!
Svetlana, we all wear them too, so please feel free to phone us. If you need help, we'll guide you over the phone to insert them correctly so that they will work PERFECTLY for you. 1-800-226-1884

Further to our communication:
Air pressure? That's first comment we've heard in 24 years regarding air pressure. Possibly, just like in an airplane, some people feel pain when the airplane is lowering altitude. Svetlana, try inserting a slightly smaller ear plug. It sounds as though our ear plug is (( too large )) for your ear canal. Just pinch a little off.
