Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsNov 28, 2014
Dear Robert:
We're happy to hear that our ear plug is performing "very good" for you; as it is for just about everyone else as well, but Robert, satisfied customers select "5 stars" as a means of appreciation. The more stars means a better rating. You selected just "1" star in error; so please, if convenient for you, feel free to correct that and submit your review again with 5 stars.
Kindest regards

Stephanie
they are no better than the foam earplugs you can buy at Walmart.
The earplugs do not block out anymore noise than the average foam earplugs you can buy at any store. It also feels like having a ton of wax in your ear and they are not comfortable.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 24, 2014
Dear Stephanie:
There was an simple basic instruction card for you to read, in the package with your order!!!
PLEASE follow these instructions:
Just prior to insertion, our Beeswax ear plug must be (kneaded or worked) between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it (soft & moldable. At that time, being a women with smaller ear canals, you should have pinched off about 1/3rd of the ear plug and inserted a smaller size. It would have then felt so much more comfortable.
Then you must push and flatten the ear plug IN & AGAINST your ear opening (UNTIL YOU FEEL THE EAR PLUG SEAL.) When you insert our ear plug as I described, it will block out 1000% more sound than foam ear plugs. You will be amazed at the amount of sound blocked out!
Stephanie, your satisfaction is important to us. Phone our office; we all wear the same ear plug and we will happily walk you through inserting this magnificent ear plug. 1-800-226-1884

Didn't fit the ear very well, kept falling out. Would not recommend.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 19, 2014
Dear M. Dannewitz:
Just after kneading them to make them soft and moldable, pinch off about 1/3rd and insert just 2/3rds of an ear plug. With your smaller size ear canals, you'll find that the ear plug will (seal) the ear canal and do just what it does best: It BLOCKS OUT MUCH!

Dear Tim:
Ouch! Your hard hitting review is surely "one of a kind". We have never heard of Beeswax and Lanolin described the way you did!
We are certain to include an instruction card with every order, but we know that we can't guarantee that the customer will read it. Tim, we wish you would have read the card. Your experience would have been totally different.
Made from beeswax; Just prior to insertion, one is instructed to knead the ear plugs between their fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make the ear plugs soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout them.
When you first work in or knead the ear plugs as described, they feel nothing like you described. They become soft, moldable and the Lanolin is disbursed throughout.
More importantly, We guarantee your satisfaction 100%. Please feel free to call or write us for return instructions to get a full refund.

Dear Simon:
Being that they are made from Beeswax; just before insertion, one has to knead the ear plugs between their fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make them (soft and moldable). At that point they become very very comfortable.
Then push and flatten the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear opening (until you feel a good seal). Now listen to the silence! You'll have the highest blocking ear plug in the world doing what it does best. It Blocks Out Sound Bigtime!

NOT good
I bought these earplugs once and thought they were great, so I decided to keep using them since they blocked out my husbands snoring well. The second set of earplugs I bought are awful. Any time I move it breaks the seal and I can hear everything. Needless to say, I would never buy these again. It was frustrated to spend so much on these, think that they would work just as well as the first ones I bought, only to be let down. My advice: don't waste your money!
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 4, 2014
Dear Lindsay:
If the ear plugs are not "sealing" well, it means that they do not have enough Lanolin in them. We haven't received any other reviews mentioning not sealing, but that does not minimize the validation of your experience.
We are sending you out some complimentary samples of our latest batch. I wear them every night and I'm confident that you will find this batch perfect.
Lindsay, your success is important to us so please call or write us afterwards to let us know how the samples worked for you, for afterwards we can send you another 12 pairs at no cost.

Do not buy...they do not work!!!!
I called the day I received them and left a message for a call back. Never heard from anyone. I was whispering and my husband could hear me. He was going on a golfing trip and was rooming with a friend who is a very loud snorer. Well thanks to mighty plugs being worthless my husband averaged about 2 hours of sleep a night for 10 nights.
Again....DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsSep 26, 2014
Dear Patricia:
To set the "record straight"; I must respond to the incorrect comments you made.
Yes, we received your phone message and I personally called you back and left a message on your answering machine. My name is Joseph and I left you the message.
We didn't hear back from you.
Secondly, it is sad, for we sent you the HIGHEST BLOCKING EAR PLUG IN THE WORLD!
Had someone called us, we could have easily shown you how to insert this superior ear plug.
There was an instruction card in the package with your order; plus we have a webpage link at the top of our home page that says "To Insert & Remove".
It's unfortunate that you or your husband didn't read the preparation and insertion instructions that were on the instruction card. Again it was unfortunate that neither of you figured out how to simply prepare and insert this magnificent moldable beeswax ear plug. Patricia, why do you think that almost all our customers rate us with 5 stars?
We receive so few dissatisfied reports, yet its enough for us to put a video on our website within 5 days that will show exactly how to knead and insert the ear plug.
Patricia, definitely do not give up on this superior ear plug. You've got the best there is, but one must follow (exactly), the preparation and insertion directions below, and they will then see why all the testimonials on our website page are true and accurate. Please allow this fine ear plug to have a fair test.
1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!)
IMPORTANT: If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals; now listen; you’ll hear very little or possibly no sound. It even gets better each time you wear them.
4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out.
You insert them this way and you will most likely be shocked! If you or your husband are still having difficulty, please phone us at 800-226-1884. We will walk you through preparing and inserting this ear plug right on the phone.
Most sincerely
