Dear Amanda: Our ultra-high blocking moldable ear plug WILL NOT BLOCK OUT well (UNTIL YOU PREPARE AND INSERT IT CORRECTLY)! Please follow the steps below for correctly (preparing & inserting) and you will see why almost all the testimonials on our website are SO POSITIVE, COMPLETELY TRUE AND ACCURATE. IMPORTANT! Many women with smaller ear canals do not insert the whole ear plug; for just after they have kneaded the ear plug to make it soft & moldable, they pinch off at least (a third), and insert a smaller ear plug that fits their ear canal better, is more comfortable, seals easier and blocks out better. 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. If you are going to pinch off to make a smaller ear plug, then now is the time. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY& FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way& insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you’ll notice a big improvement. 4. Dear Ken: This ultra-high blocking ear plug works WONDERFULLY and will block out much more sound than foam can ever block. Please follow the directions below and you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. 1. The very first time that the ear plugs are prepared for insertion, they require kneading or working through one's fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make them soft, moldable and to disburse the pure Lanolin throughout the ear plugs.. After the first time wearing, all insertions afterwards will only require kneading the ear plugs for about 10 seconds. Pure Lanolin, so nurturing for the skin, is in the ear plug to make it slightly tacky, so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. 2. Now that it is soft and moldable, use the tip of your index finger and push and flatten the ear plug somewhat ( firmly ), IN & AGAINST your ear canal, until you feel a good seal. When inserting the ear plug, be slightly firm and (not be too delicate). If it doesn't seal immediately, just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds, and it will seal the ear canal. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the (same way and insert it exactly the same way) as the first ear plug. If you prepare and insert the ear plugs as I described above, then you will notice that they seal the ear and block-out wonderfully! Lisa, please follow the directions below and you'll be amazed how well they block out. 1. The very first time that the ear plugs are prepared for insertion, they require kneading or working through one's fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make them soft, moldable and to disburse the pure Lanolin throughout the ear plugs.. After the first time wearing, all insertions afterwards will only require kneading the ear plugs for about 10 seconds. Secondly: Most women feel that the ear plug is a bit (too large) for their ear canals, so just after kneading the ear plug for 20 seconds to make it soft and moldable, they pinch off about 1/3rd before inserting. 2. Now that it is soft and moldable, use the tip of your index finger and push and flatten the ear plug somewhat ( firmly ), IN & AGAINST your ear canal, until you feel a good seal. When inserting the ear plug, be slightly firm and (not be too delicate). If it doesn't seal immediately, just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds, and it will seal the ear canal. 3.
