You have to get use to using them, I had used the silicon type before and these are used the same way. These work as good as the silicon ones, but, are more comfortable and last longer. Both are the best at noise reduction of all that I have tried.

Missus snores for England !!! Tried lots of different types. These are well packed,and work perfectly. Simply tear off what you need and mould into shape. Don,t worry about not having enough,simply tear some more and roll it together. In the mornings i take them out one at a time and i keep a bottle of hand gel sanitizer on bedside cabinet and cleanse them one at a time before i put them back in the supplied container. They last months!! No problems,work well,and don,t dissolve as much as the wax ones.

These ear plugs are much better than any we have tried in muffling my husband's snoring.
