I tried the World's Finest ear plugs and, while they are no worse then other earplugs, they are far from a complete sound blocker.
They did not/have not blocked out my spouse's snoring.
I do like them and they do create a nice muted sound block, but, again, they have not solved my problem.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 8, 2014
Dear Chris:
Being that they are made from Beeswax; just before insertion, one has to knead the ear plugs between their fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make them (soft and moldable). At that point they become very very comfortable.
Then push and flatten the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear opening, a bit firmly(until you feel a good seal). Now listen to the silence! You'll have the highest blocking ear plug in the world doing what it does best. It Blocks Out Sound! When it's sealed, it will easily block out your spouse's snoring.
Most sincerely

Not great
They are really just simple earplugs, they didn't do much to mask the noise
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 3, 2014
Dear Christa:
Far from simple as they are made from Beeswax and they form to each person's ear canal to seal it. When inserted correctly, this is the HIGHEST BLOCKING (most sound suppressing) ear plug in existence; but to experience the superior performance, you must follow (exactly), the preparation and insertion directions below, and you will then see why all the testimonials on our website page are true and accurate. Please give this fine ear plug a fair test.
Please Note! Many women with smaller ear canals pinch off at least (a third), and insert a smaller ear plug that fits their ear canal better, is more comfortable, seals easier and blocks out better. This can make a big difference, yet you only make it smaller if it is too large and uncomfortable.
1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step. If you are going to pinch off to make a smaller ear plug, then now is the time.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!)
IMPORTANT: If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals; now listen; you’ll hear very little or most likely no sound. It even gets better each time you wear them.
4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out.
Christa, please prepare and insert this fine ear plug correctly please give it a chance to do what it does best; "Block-Out".
Most sincerely

Still hear the snoring.
I had high hopes that I'd finally be getting better sleep, but, while I found the ear plugs better than any I'd tried, they were only marginally so. I'm still looking for something more effective to shut out my husband's snoring.

Dear Merideth:
I too wear this exact ear plug every night to block out my husband's snoring. It works wonderfully, and it is the HIGHEST BLOCKING (most sound suppressing) ear plug in existence; but to experience the superior performance, you must follow (exactly), the preparation and insertion directions below, and you will then see why all the testimonials on our website page are true and accurate. Please allow this fine ear plug to have a fair test.
Please Note! Many adults with smaller ear canals pinch off at least (a third), and insert a smaller ear plug that fits their ear canal better, is more comfortable, seals easier and blocks out better. This can make a big difference, yet you only make it smaller if it is too large and uncomfortable.

Merideth, please give this fine moldable ear plug a chance to prove itself. It won't disappoint you!

I got to swim so it was worth it.
I found the plug in my right ear kept coming out of place. I was snorkelling so the snorkel and google band may have had some fault in that I'm not sure? Fortunately there was only a small perforation in that ear which I think has since healed. The left ear plug and most important one, as I have a 2mm perforation in that ear, stayed in place for most of my swims, until I made the mistake of diving down to pick up something from the sea bed and the pressure change caused a partial dislodgement of the plug, enabling water to pass through the perforation. I got out of the water asap and did my best to try to drain the ear. That was not good, but on the whole I am pleased, because if not for these ear plugs I would have not been able to enjoy the amazing experience of snorkelling over the Ningaloo Reef. : )
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsSep 6, 2014
Dear Jill:
For sealing, this is the finest ear plug in the world! That particular ability to seal completely is what makes our ear plug so safe for swimmers with ear problems.
The reason that the ear plug came out is because you didn't (push and flatten) it against your ear opening (firmly enough). If you did you would have felt the ear plug SEAL the ear.
Jill, we put Pure Lanolin into the ear plug to make it slightly 'tacky' so that it intentionally stays securely in the ear canal at all times.
Definitely try again, but this time be sure to (push and flatten) it firmly in and against your ear opening so that it SEALS THE EAR!
Most sincerely

I bought these earplugs for my wife...
...she did not like them. And while we can't comment on their functionality, efficiency or lack thereof, she did not want to use them. She was turned-off by the sticky material itself, describing it as too much like Play-Dough(tm). And frankly I shared her sentiment. Seemed to be priced relatively high for what appears to be a variation of that very product. So while they may be an efficient silencer, we'll never know. We left the earplugs in a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Perhaps the maid had better luck.

Hush
For me they help block out perhaps 75 to 85% of the snoring, which is usually enough. They are more comfortable and easier to put in than the spongy type.
