Dear Patricia: Thank you for making the effort to write us. Yes, being a soft and moldable ear plug, trying to insert it in your ear with (long nails) can be a small challenge. Because of your long nails, we suggest pushing the softened ear plug against your ear opening with a part of your finger tip that is further away from your nail. Regarding too much or (too large) an ear plug, we suggest to most women to pinch off about 1/3rd and insert a smaller ear plug. The smaller ear plug will feel just perfect for women's ear canals and will do the job well! Please, after first kneading them to make them soft and moldable; PUSH & FLATTEN them IN and AGAINST your ear opening UNTIL YOU FEEL THEM SEAL.! They have to SEAL to really block out! Cara, they are the HIGHEST BLOCKING EAR PLUGS IN THE WORLD. You'll see!!!!!!!!!! We too wear them, so please feel free to call the office and we can even walk you through inserting them together. Dear Marsha: No need to look any further! Just pinch off about 1/3 rd of the ear plug and insert a bit smaller ear plug. Then push it firmly IN and AGAINST you ear opening (UNTIL YOU FEEL IT SEAL)! You will be quite happily surprised at the silence and comfort now! Sincerely Mary-customer service

Dear Marylove: I know exactly what occurred. After first kneading the ear plug to make it soft and moldable, you didn't push it firmly enough IN and AGAINST the ear canal (until you felt the ear plug seal)! It is obviously protruding out to far from the ear and surely not sealing the ear. Keep a bit of pressure for a few more seconds against the ear plug as you push it against your ear opening. It will seal well! Once sealed, the vibrations are reduced to zero and your tinnitus is also reduced. Most sincerely Mary-customer service
