The batches very too much. Sometimes they are so sticky it gets stuck in your ear. We have had 50-50 luck with purchases of good to bad batches

Better than others
I was really impressed with the ear plugs the first night, but then they didn't work as well after and they got quiet sticky and my hair sticks to them. I can still hear my partner snoring, I would order them again but just until I find something better. However they are better than others I have tried.

From your description, I know exactly how you will even get 100% better results for sound blocking and with no more involvement with your hair:
AH, please (push and flatten) the ear plugs IN and AGAINST your ear canal A BIT MORE (FIRMLY), UNTIL YOU FEEL THEM (SEAL) YOUR EARS. When you do that, you won't hear him or if any sound, you'll barely hear him.
The reason your hair touched the ear plugs was because you didn't flatten the ear plug upon insertion, and it was protruding out too far from your ear opening.
AH, my husband snores "like a freight train". I too wear them nightly and when inserted correctly; THEY REALLY WORK GREAT!!!!

Not much different than other earplugs.
I can still hear my husband snoring through these earplugs. And when that's all you hear with earplugs it gets very nerve racking. These earplugs tend to fall out of my ears easily throughout the night. I am a very light sleeper with super sonic ears I guess.
In regards to the Reply:
I did insert it correctly. It did seal in both ears. That didn't change the fact that I still am having sleepless nights due to hearing my husbands snoring. I know how to follow instructions.

On the contrary: VASTLY DIFFERENT from other ear plugs!!!
Denee, It is about inserting the ear plug CORRECTLY!
It is obvious that you are not inserting the ear plug (firmly) enough to allow it to (seal) your ear canal.
That is why it is not blocking out and that is why it is falling out of your ear.
Denee, once the ear plug is SEALED FIRMLY in the ear canal, it cannot fall out because the Lanolin makes the ear plug tacky to stay securely in the ear canal.
Denee, if this ultra-high blocking moldable ear plug doesn't totally (SEAL) and stay securely in your ear canal, then it will not block out enough sound!
PLEASE follow the below instructions EXACTLY!
1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn’t matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push the ear plug FIRMLY, & FLATTEN it, (IN and AGAINST) your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL)..
IMPORTANT: If it doesn’t seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals; now listen; you’ll hear very little or most likely no sound at all. It even gets better each time you wear them.
4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out.

Denee, I too have been wearing this same ear plug for the past 12 years for the same reason, and it works wonderfully, but it took me a few nights to get the insertion just right, and then every night after that got better and better at blocking out.
Now, I don't even hear him at all!!!!

World's finest ear plugs
These ear plugs mask external noise very well, however we had the experience of having small particles of the material sticking to the inner ear when they are removed. This is of concern as we wouldn't want this to cause inner ear issues over the long run. So we would like to continue to use them, but have this underlying concern. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

Pete, you didn't (KNEAD) the ear plugs (sufficiently) prior to insertion to (COMBINE) the 3 ingredients together:
Our (all natural) ear plug is made from Filtered Beeswax, Sterile Cotton and Pure Lanolin; all compatible & (non-allergenic).
On the instruction card that comes with all orders, and on our website: earplugsonline.com/insert-remove/
it emphasizes the following step just prior to insertion:
"Just prior to each use, take ONE ear plug and (knead-it or work-it) thoroughly between your fingers or hands for 10-15 seconds to soften, make moldable & to disburse the pure lanolin throughout the earplug. Pure Lanolin is put into the ear plug to make it malleable & slightly tacky so that it stays securely in the ear canal."
Pete, just (knead) those ear plugs for 15-20 seconds and you'll combine the ingredients for good.

Just normal ear plugs
From reading the vendor site, I thought the earplugs would block 100% of noise. That is not the case - they block out about 50% to 70% of the noise. I can sadly still hear my bf snoring all night..

You have the HIGHEST BLOCKING ear plugs on the planet, and they will block our ALL or ALMOST ALL, maybe (95%) of the snoring; (IF) you insert them a bit more firmly to where they (SEAL the ear completely).
Most new customers figure out quickly how to insert this magnificent ear plug, and they give us 5 star ratings with glowing reports, yet because it is soft and mouldable, & even tho there is an instruction card with each order, we also have customers that need just a little more instruction beforehand, to insert it correctly. It's all O.K.!
Aneta, we all wear them for the same reason and they WORK GREAT, yet one needs to insert them so that they (seal) the ear canal completely.

Not what we expected
The earplugs were OK, but not much more sound blocking than the foam plugs my wife had been using. If you're getting because your partner is a LOUD snoring type. You may want to just opt for the single pair sample pack for under $10.

Often the new customer is a bit apprehensive and fearful to insert our ear plug sufficiently.
If Mrs. Stout wants to block out ALL your snoring sounds out, then she needs to insert the ear plug, a bit more firmly, IN and AGAINST her ear opening (until she feels the ear plugs (SEALING) her ears.)
Only then will she experience (silence)!

They used to be better but I still use them
I have been using these earplugs for a couple of years. They are the best solution I've come up with for a noisy bed partner as they seal the ear opening without putting pressure on the ear like foam earplugs or any other earplug I've tried. For some reason the last couple of orders have been much more dry than in the past. I don't know if the recipe has changed (maybe less lanolin?), but they were a bit stickier in the past and provided a better seal. If they could get the old recipe back I would rate these 5 stars.

Terry, the slight tackiness from the Lanolin, which helps the ear plug stay securely in the ear has not changed; but the ear plug requires about 5 more seconds of (kneading) between your fingers just prior to insertion. That will disburse the pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug and give you the tackiness you are accustomed to.
Yet, if you felt that you still wanted more pure Lanolin, you could easily work in just (one) drop into each ear plug. That will surely make it tackier.
