Still not able to swim and have no water get into my ears.
After every 25 yard swim I have to re-insert the ear plugs since water got underneath them. Am disappointed. Now I will seriously seek out silly putty. That stuff worked 30 yrs ago, so it should still work.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsSep 4, 2013
Dear Marianne: Just prior to insertion, please be sure to work or knead the ear plugs well through your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to disburse the pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. It is the pure Lanolin that makes the ear plug 'tacky' enough to seal the ear canal and stay securely. 1. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you will notice a big improvement. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Marianne, feel free to call us if you need any help at any time.
