Functional when sealed but a bit uncomfortable
The ear plugs function well when in my ear although they can be a bit uncomfortable at first. However, they would always fall out or the seal would break in the middle of the night almost every time. I sleep on one side and had to replace the ear to the pillow with the standard foam plug to ensure it would stay in. The open side had the mold-able plug but every morning I would wake up to the sound I'm trying to block out because the seal had broken. I will admit that when both plugs are in and properly sealed they do block out a bit more sound than your standard foam plugs but because they either fall out or unseal constantly I wouldn't purchase them again.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsAug 6, 2015
Dear David: The reason the ear plugs are losing their (seal) in (your ears), is because you are not pushing and flattening them (firmly) enough when inserting them. After first (working or kneading) our Ultra-High Blocking Beeswax ear plugs between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make them (soft and mouldable),use the tip of your index finger and push One ear plug in and against your ear opening (until you feel the ear plug (seal) the ear). Hold your finger against it with slight pressure for a few more seconds and will seal and stay sealed until you remove it. Then take the other ear plug and do the exact same thing. I've been wearing them every evening for the past 12 years. They'll work perfectly for you and stay sealed all night long, when you get the "hang of it". David, please feel free to phone us at the office, for we all wear the same ear plug every day and night. We'll help you (over rhe phone) at any time!
