Dear Anna: We are so glad that you informed us. Now we can help you and make sure it works well for you. Anna, our ear plug is surely different from most in that. Aside from being "all natural"; it becomes soft and moldable just after kneading it between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds. Most women feel that the ear plug is a bit large for their ear canals, so they pinch off about 1/3rd and insert the remaining 2/3rds of the ear plug. We only recommend making it smaller if it is obviously too large and uncomfortable. Now, please follow these insertion instructions exactly and you'll soon learn why the ear plug we sent you is the highest blocking ear plug in the world. Take ONE ear plug and using the tip of your index finger, push & flatten the softened ear plug (a bit firmly) IN and AGAINST your ear opening (UNTIL YOU FEEL THE EAR PLUG SEAL)! Now knead the other ear plug and insert it the same way. Anna, wear them tonight and you'll notice that you can either barely hear him or you can hear nothing! Dear Laurie: Thank you for taking the time and effort to tell us of your experience. We know and use this fine ear plug ourselves. We can easily put your mind at ease. Our "all natural" ear plug made from Beeswax is soft, moldable and has pure Lanolin in it. Lanolin is good for human skin and nurtures it. The purpose of the Lanolin is to intentionally make the ear plug slightly "tacky" so that it stays securely in the ear canal and BLOCKS OUT MUCH. For the first one or two times wearing the Lanolin may seem a bit tackier, yet by the 3rd wearing, the tackiness will have been reduced substantially, yet still be effective. Dear Demetrius: Thank you for your input but we know nothing of "playdoh"! We are told from our children that playdoh is moldable. That is where the similarity ends! Our ultra-high blocking ear plug is made from BEESWAX. It is so effective because it forms to your ear canal and SEALS IT, as you insert it. It blocks out more sound (by far), than any other ear plug in the world! Demetrius, kindly forget this "playdoh" nonsense. John, thank you for making the effort to tell us of your experience. I too am a bike rider and I wear them every ride. The reason that you didn't experience more noise reduction is that you didn't PUSH and FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear opening (until you felt the ear plug SEAL). Be sure to insert this magnificent beeswax ear plug again. Once SEALED you'll be quite surprised (almost shocked) at how much sound is being blocked out. Dear Mike: You'll have a very pleasant surprise coming! When you follow the instructions below for preparing and inserting the ear plugs, you will be amazed at how much sound they block out. 1. Just as you are about to insert them, take one ear plug at a time and knead it between your fingers and hands for about 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and slightly tacky. 2. Then using ONE ear plug, (push it and flatten) it slightly firmly (In & Against) your ear canal (until you feel it seal). 3. Now prepare and insert the other ear plug the same way. With both ears sealed; Now observe the silence. If you have inserted them as I described above, you will notice a HUGE difference!
