Tried but no luck. Too much pressure in my ear canal when sleeping. Maybe it will work for swimming, but not sleeping. Sorry
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsDec 8, 2014
Dear Bad Fit:
Pinch off some ear plug material. It is obviously too large for your ear canal.

Although ordering was easy and shipping was prompt, I was not expecting 2 large cylinders of a hard waxy substance. I guess I am used to foam plugs and did not not will not attempt to put this stuff in my ears

Earplug did not work for me
These so called world finest did not eliminate much sound at all for me. The feeling of that stuff in my ear was not comfortable at all. Not even worth the little money I spent.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsNov 8, 2014
Oh Carl:
(Just prior to insertion); If you don't (work or knead) our moldable beeswax ear plug for 15 seconds to make it (soft and moldable), then it will not (SEAL) your ear and block out much.
PLEASE READ the insertion instructions that came with your order. Once the ear plug SEALS your ear canal, you will experience SILENCE.
Call us at the office and we will help you with correct insertion. 1-800-226-1884

Uncomfortable and ineffective
No matter how much I adjusted the earplugs, they remained uncomfortable, nor did they filter out my companion's snoring. I guess I was a bit gullible to believe the advertising... I followed the instructions, kneading the plugs for some time before inserting and at intervals thereafter. No improvement at all.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsNov 12, 2014
Dear Barbara:
Thank you so much for writing us. It is the only way that we can help and bring the desired satisfaction to customers who placed their trust in us.
If you've read the instructions well, as you said, then what is effecting the outcome is that the size was too large and uncomfortable for your ear canal.
Barbara, just after you knead them to make them soft and moldable, then pinch off at least 1/3rd and insert the remaining 2/3rds of the ear plug. It is obviously too large for your ear.
Make sure that they seal the ear canal and then listen to his snoring.
Most likely you'll either (barely hear) anything or it will (block it all out). It also depends on how acute your own hearing is.
Please call us for any help in the office; for we all wear the ear plug for the same purpose and it works "great"!! 800-226-1884

Was disappointed.
I use $5.99 silicone-type earplugs already that work pretty good but still hear loud traffic outside my bedroom window. The reviews on this product gave me a lot of hope. However for $25.00, they work about the same as the ones I get for $5.99. I guess there just isn't a good earplug that really blocks out all noise. So for the money, my purchase of these wasn't worth it. And btw, I DID use them properly and tried them a few times.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 19, 2014
Dear Susan:
There is a good reason why the reviews are 98% positive. Simply put: This superior ear plug WORKS PERFECTLY:
If you are first kneading this fine ear plug sufficiently to make it soft and moldable; and then pushing the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear opening (until you feel the ear plugs seal), only then will you have inserted them correctly.
Being a women, I suggest that after kneading them, pinch off about 1/3rd and insert just 2/3rds of the ear plug. It will seal better and really block out much.
To your surprise, you may now find that this ear plug, when now (sealing the ear canal), blocks out ALL the noise.
Kindest regards

Does not work for me
I found the earplugs were way too big for my ears and they leave a sticky residu in the earcanal. Most importantly, I never got them to seal well (even though I followed the instructions) so I could still hear everything around. Very disapointed in this product - quality/price ratio is poor.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 4, 2014
Dear Celine:
Yes, being moldable, one (needs to create) the perfect size for their individual ear canal; and yes, the ear plugs are generally too large for women. We suggest that after kneading them to make them soft and moldable; one should pinch off about 1/3rd and insert a smaller ear plug.
The tackiness from pure Lanolin is intentional so that the ear plug will stay sealed and secure in the ear canal and block out much; but one has to knead the ear plug for at least 15 seconds before inserting to disburse the Lanolin. Then you will not feel so much residue.
Celine, this superior ear plug will work wonderfully for you have the Highest Blocking ear plug made, so don't give up on it. Just knead it first and insert it a bit firmly in and against your ear canal (until you feel it seal). Then listen to the silence!

Fast ship but horrible earplugs
Three them away. The fit was not good at all, much too small. Rather the sound came through as the plug was small and my ear canals are not large. Other earplugs fit fine
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 4, 2014
Dear Lauren:
Please do not "three" them or throw them away. They are the highest blocking ear plug in the world and you will be grateful that I answered your review and explained how to insert them. Ironically almost all women feel that the ear plug is (too large) and they pinch off about 1/3rd and insert a smaller size that fits their ear canal better. You, finding it too small is a first for us.
Lauren, please follow the instructions below and you will be quite surprised at how efficient this ear plug is:
1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push a bit (FIRMLY) & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!)
IMPORTANT: If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals; now listen; you’ll hear very little or more likely no sound at all. It even gets better each time you wear them.
4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out.
Lauren, please feel free to phone us if you would like us to walk you through inserting this magnificent ear plug.
Most sincerely

These air plugs may work fairly well but they are difficult to deal with.they are made of some type of a clay substance and I get stuck in your hair as well
These may work fairly well.but I would never buy them again.they come in a tiny little box that you can never get them back into.they are made of some type of Clay like substance .They are way too expensive for what they are I would never recommend them or buy them again . It gets stuck in your hair and they are very difficult to deal with.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsOct 4, 2014
Dear Susan:
The reason that your hair is involved is because you haven't pushed and flattened the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal firmly enough and it is protruding out ward too much.
Your issue with the plastic box is the first we have heard after 6 million worldwide customers.
Susan, I too wear this exact ear plug every night to block out my husband's snoring. It works wonderfully, and it is the HIGHEST BLOCKING (most sound suppressing) ear plug in existence; but to experience the superior performance, you must follow (exactly), the preparation and insertion directions below, and you will then see why all the testimonials on our website page are true and accurate.
Please Note! Many adults with smaller ear canals pinch off at least (a third), and insert a smaller ear plug that fits their ear canal better, is more comfortable, seals easier and blocks out better. This can make a big difference, yet you only make it smaller if it is too large and uncomfortable.
If you are going to pinch off to make a smaller ear plug, then now is the time.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!)
Susan, we surely want you to be very satisfied so please give this fine moldable ear plug a chance to prove itself. It works!
Most sincerely
