Dear Valerie: If you do not insert our ear plug to where it SEALS your ears, then it will not block out as much sound as it is capable of. Please view the video on our website earplugsonline.com and follow these instructions below (exactly)!!! Just after kneading the ear plugs for 10 seconds to soften them and make them moldable, then with your index finger push and flatten ONE ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear opening (UNTIL YOU FEEL THE EAR PLUG SEAL THE EAR). Now take the other ear plug and insert it the exact same way. Once both ears are sealed, then listen to the SILENCE and fall peacefully asleep. Dear BK: I must first correct your misconception about the ability of our ear plug to block out the loudest of snoring. Just as almost all the other reviews you read; IT IS TRUE. THIS ULTRA-HIGH BLOCKING EAR PLUG WORKS!!! It does a great job on blocking out snoring. BK, our ear plug only works when it is inserted correctly, to where it SEALS the ear. When you mentioned that it got "stuck in your hair", then I knew immediately that you didn't insert and flatten the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear opening; for if you did, your hair could not have been involved. Regarding "pressure" and "massive headache"; you claimed you received??? Out of over 5 million customers and over 19 years, (we have never received even one) complaint or criticism regarding massive headaches. BK, I agree that our ear plug is not for you. Dear Jane: Our ultra-high blocking ear plug will block out most noises, but you have to insert it correctly; plus each pair can be worn 30-40 times; making it a much better value than any other ear plug made. First, let me show you how to get the ear plug to work! As on the instruction card that came with your order and the video on our website, you must first knead the ear plug for 10 seconds to make it (soft & moldable). Then with the tip of your index finger, push the ear plug (a bit firmly) IN and AGAINST your ear opening (UNTIL YOU FEEL IT SEAL) the ear. Do the other ear the same way and you'll be quite surprised. Dear Aaron: The reason so many others "praise" this ear plug so much is because IT WORKS!!! Aaron, yet for very few, our ear plug can be a bit confusing, because unlike foam, our all natural ear plug is 'soft and moldable' and requires pushing it a bit firmly, and an flattening it IN and AGAINST the ear opening until the ear plug SEALS the ear. If Mrs. Sherman is not able to get it working well on her own, then please have her feel free to phone our office and we will happily walk her through 'inserting' the ear plugs (correctly) to where they "SEAL" her ears. Lanolin is an essential ingredient in our ear plugs, because it is nuturing, good for human skin, makes the ear plug (soft & moldable), and it gives the ear plug a slightly (tacky) feel. The tackiness is important & (essential) so that the ear plug will stay securely in the ear canal and (SEAL) it. Dear Edwin: On the contrary: Our Beeswax "Mighty Plugs" will block out a great deal more sound! It's about inserting our ear plug CORRECTLY! It is obvious that you are not inserting the ear plug (firmly) enough to allow it to (seal) your ear canal. That is why it is not blocking out so greatly Edwin, once our ear plug is SEALED FIRMLY in the ear canal, it will block out so much sound that you will be very very pleasantly surprised! PLEASE follow the below instructions EXACTLY! 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn’t matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push the ear plug FIRMLY, & FLATTEN it, (IN and AGAINST) your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL).. IMPORTANT: If it doesn’t seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals; now listen; you’ll hear very little or most likely no sound at all. It even gets better each time you wear them. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Dear Ann: On the contrary, they're very very simple to "get in", but they are different from the ordinary foam ear plugs. Ann, just prior to insertion, you have to first (Knead or Work) the ear plugs through your fingers or hands for 15 seconds to make them soft and moldable; like it says on our website and on the instruction card that came with your order. Once the ear plug has been kneaded for 15-20 seconds to make it (soft and moldable), then push it a bit firmly IN and AGAINST your ear opening until the ear plugs (SEAL) the ears. Now listen to the silence! Ann, if you follow the above instructions, you will find that they are easy to insert and the Lanolin makes them tacky enough to stay securely in the ear and seal it. Only then will they really BLOCK OUT ALL THAT SNORING!
