Dear Michelle: On the contrary!!!! They will work (( INSTANTLY )), ( when they are inserted CORRECTLY )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michelle, please follow the instructions below (exactly) and you will be very very pleasantly surprised. 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for at LEAST15 seconds to make the Beeswax ear plug (soft and mouldable). 2. Then push and flatten it (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug (( SEAL )) your ear canal. If it doesn't seal immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds and it will SEAL PERFECTLY. 3. Michelle, if the ear plug feels uncomfortable, then just pinch off a little at a time until it feels the right size for your ear canal. 4. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. With both ears sealed well, now listen to only SILENCE. You'll now have the HIGHEST BLOCKING EAR PLUG in the world doing what it does best; IT'S BLOCKING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dear Sheryl: This is EASILY FIXED !!! Sheryl, our ear plug is made from Beeswax, Cotton and Lanolin and (just prior to insertion), it must be (worked or kneaded) between one's fingers or hands for 15 seconds to make the ear plug (soft and mouldable) and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. The ear plug is made to be slightly "tacky", so that it will stay securely in the ear canal and really BLOCK OUT much. Please follow the below instructions and you'll be very pleasantly shocked. 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for AT LEAST15 seconds to make this Beeswax ear plug (soft and mouldable) and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug to make it a bit tacky>>so that it stays securely in the ear canal at all times. 2. Then push and flatten it IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug (( SEAL )) your ear canal. If it doesn't seal immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds and it will SEAL PERFECTLY 3. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands ( a bit more firmly) for AT LEAST15 seconds to make the Beeswax ear plug (soft and mouldable) and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Now the ear plug is slightly tacky, so that it will stay securely in the ear canal while surfing the biggest of the biggest waves Then push and flatten it IN and AGAINST your ear opening UNTIL YOU FEEL THE EAR PLUG (( SEAL )) your ear canal. If it doesn't seal immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against the ear plug for a few more seconds and it will SEAL PERFECTLY. Dear Terry: YES, WE KNOW! They are the (highest blocking) ear plugs in the world but;>>>> you've got to get the very least of 30 wearings per pair. If the ear plugs are losing their pliability, it means that your body is ABSORBING all the Pure Lanolin from our ear plug. Terry, simply obtain a small amount of Pure Lanolin Oil from a good health supply store and work well into each ear plug just ONE drop. That will refurbish the ear plug like new again. Dear Cindy: They will Block Out MUCH MUCH MUCH (BETTER) than your foam ear plugs>>>>>>>>>>>>>BUT you have to insert our Beeswax Ear Plugs to where they will ( SEAL ) your ear canals. Once sealed, they will block it ( ALL ) out !!! Cindy, please follow these instructions below: 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make it soft, mouldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and mouldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you'll hear only SILENCE 4.
