Dear Hilary: Your review is very clear to us. You didn't insert our ear plug CORRECTLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. You said "heavy to wear". The answer is: our ear was "too large" for your ear. You could have pinched off some material and inserted a smaller ear plug that would have fit your ear PERFECTLY. 2. You said "not bad for sound blocking". The answer is: It is obvious to us that you didn't insert the ear plug (firmly) enough to have it SEAL your ear canal. If you inserted it correctly an allowed it to SEAL, you would have heard SILENCE. 3. You said, " bits of the ear plugs get stuck in my hair". The answer is: You didn't PUSH the ear plug (deep enough) into your ear canal and it PROTRUDED and got involved with your hair. Hilary, please correct all 3 situations and you'll be "pleasantly surprised" how magnificent the "sound blocking" is. Dear Kelly: They're BETTER than you think !!! First of all, just before insertion, (work or knead ) them through your fingers or hands for 20 seconds to make them SOFT AND MOULDABLE; then pinch off about 1/3rd and insert just 2/3rds of an ear plug. It's obvious by your comment, that our ear plug is (too large) for your ear canal. Secondly, upon insertion, push and flatten the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear opening (until you feel the ear plug SEAL---YES SEAL; your ear canal. Then listen to the SILENCE !!!!!!! Thirdly, don't pinch off the ear plug by being too firm or too hastily when removing. The ear plug stays together and its difficult to break apart, unless one is way too careless or too rough. Kelly, your satisfaction is IMPORTANT to us. Please keep me informed as to how the ear plugs were working for you after inserting them as I suggested. Our Mighty Plugs will perform MUCH MUCH better than you experienced >>>> IF IF IF you follow the instructions below ((exactly)), for preparing them and inserting them CORRECTLY !!! 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time, and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for at least ( 15-20 ) seconds to make our Beeswax ear plug, (soft and mouldable). NOW we recommend to adult women or a men with smaller ear canals; to easily pinch off about 1/3rd of the ear plug to make it smaller. We advise this to those who feel any discomfort at all. 2. Then push and flatten the softened ear plug, (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug (( SEAL )), yes (( SEAL )) your ear canal. IMPORTANT: If the ear plug doesn't SEAL immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against it for a few more seconds and it will warm and SEAL PERFECTLY; and be sure to push them in far enough so that the (( whole ear plug )) is in your canal. 3. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. Elaine, please follow the below instructions (exactly) and you'll be pleasantly surprised. 1. Dear Thomas: ON THE CONTRARY !!! Our "Mighty Plugs" are GREATER than you experienced !!!! Thomas, our ear plugs are ( different ) from any others because they are made from: 1: Beeswax--(definitely not "foam") 2. They become (Soft and Moudable)--(definitely not expandable) 3. MOST IMPORTANTLY :: They have to be inserted to where they SEAL--SEAL the ear canals !! Only then, will they (block out) much !! Once inserted CORRECTLY, you would then understand why almost ALL the reviews are so POSITIVE.
