Oh PollyB: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT!! If you do not insert the ear plugs CORRECTLY; then they will only work (modestly). POLLYB, THEY MUST BE INSERTED SO THAT THEY (SEAL) THE EAR CANALS. When you insert them to SEAL; they will BLOCK IT (ALL) OUT!!! All of us in the office wear them for the same reason as you. We know THEY WORK!!!! Secondly, the Beeswax fragrance is far from "toxic"; in fact it is pleasant !!! If you don't get it while trying at home, then call us at the office and we will walk you through inserting them in (while we are on the phone with you). Dear Joanne: Women feel that a smaller ear plug fits better. YOU ARE SUPPOSED to create (your own) perfect size for your own ear canal !!!! Joanne, simply pinch off about 1/3rd and insert the remaining 2/3rds. until it SEALS your ear canal. You will find that the smaller size is more comfortable and will SEAL your ear better. With adult men, we recommend using the whole ear plug, and of course with children we must pinch off some to make it smaller. Re: your description "sticky"; --As in the instructions that came with your order, one must, (just prior to insertion), (work or knead) each earplug for 15 seconds to make the ear plug (soft and moldable) and to (disburse the Pure Lanolin) throughout the ear plug. Joanne, the ear plug does need to be a "bit tacky" so that it will stay securely in the ear canal and BLOCK OUT MUCH. !!!! Please keep me informed as to your new experience now. Dear James: There is ONE reason why our ear plugs are not BLOCKING OUT his SNORING for you. You haven't allowed them to SEAL your ear canals!!!!!!!!! James, please follow EXACTLY the instructions in the next few sentences and you'll have a huge surprise in store for you. 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and SEALS it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY& FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will SEAL well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you’ll notice a HUGE improvement. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Dear Shawn: Our Ultra-High Blocking ear plug is made from BEESWAX! Our ear plugs, must be (worked or kneaded) between one's fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds, just (prior to insertion), to make the ear plugs SOFT AND MOLDABLE. When they are soft and moldable, they are especially easy to insert, as they (form to) and fill your ear canal. You will then feel them SEAL the ear, and when that happens, it's SILENCE in that ear. Shawn, regarding COMFORT!!! It is obvious that our ear plug is TOO LARGE for your ear canal. Simply pinch off a little and insert a smaller ear plug. You'll find that it will feel much more comfortable in your ear.
