I reported an adverse reaction to this product and was told there are no reported adverse reactions. This company isn’t taking it seriously enough.
I lowered my review to one star from two stars after receiving a condescending and defensive reply from customer service below (which has now thankfully been edited) after I reported a negative experience after wearing these earplugs. I didn’t think “rude, unacceptable behavior” would have been possible (the description under “one star”), but it unfortunately has been my experience, on top of healing up from some ear infections I got five days after five consecutive nights of wearing this product at night. Having this negative product and customer service experience makes me incredibly grateful to live where I do, a community where people care about others’ well-being, where we take each other seriously, and know how to talk to each other. Dealing with Mary (who felt it necessary to insist *she has never had a bad experience and she has worn the product for twelve years!*) again is not worth the refund of less than twenty dollars. After wearing these earplugs for a few consecutive nights, I developed inflammation that led to ear infections I am still recovering from. I have never had an experience like this. I know I am in the minority of people having this experience, but that does not invalidate that this happened. This company doesn’t take my experience with their product seriously. Also, though my long hair was pulled back, the little hair from my temples stuck to the earplugs and would not come out without tearing, and the earplug material got stuck in my hair in little gummy pieces that were hard to wash out. Wearing these has created problems way worse than not getting sleep.

Could our ear plugs have been contaminated in your home? Are you currently taking any pharmaceutical medications? RC, assuming that your experience is valid; what could you have been allergic to? pure beeswax, sterile cotton, pure Lanolin or the vegetable based food coloring? We have not had even one other customer report any allergic reaction to our ear plugs. Regarding our guarantee; yes, we will honor that for you. Once again RC, send us back what you have. RC: Further to our conversation: We have had customers insert the ear plug so lightly that it protruded out too far and got involved with their hair. Yes, that is an issue that we do hear now and then; but please READ over 5000 testimonials and reviews about are ear plug. Your situation is very very remote!
