Dear Wendy: This is an EASY FIX! Please follow the below instructions (exactly), and the Mighty Plugs will "do their thing" and you'll be able to sleep. 1. First take ONE ear plug at a time, and (knead or work) it well through your fingers or hands for 15-20 seconds, to make the ear plug (soft and mouldable). Then follow the directions in # 2 2. Push and flatten the softened ear plug, (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST your ear opening & into your ear canal UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug ( SEAL ) your ear canal. YES, It needs to SEAL the ear to block out much. IMPORTANT: If the ear plug doesn't (( SEAL )) immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against it with slight pressure for a few more seconds and it will warm and SEAL PERFECTLY. 3. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. Now with both ears SEALED, LISTEN TO (( SILENCE )) !!!!!! The slight tackiness you feel is pure lanolin; very nurturing for the skin and it makes the ear plug (soft and mouldable), keeps it securely in your ear and helps it block out more sound that any other earplug in the world! Mighty Plugs are " Real" Ear Plugs that "do the job"; whereas Foam Ear Plugs are inexpensive ear plug imitations that are supposed "expand" and block out.????? BUT WE DO KNOW how to insert our ultra-high blocking (Beeswax) ear plugs (( CORRECTLY )) in our ears, so that they block out our snoring partners. Dear H Graves: I'm assuming?????? that you already know that; (( our mallable beeswax ear plugs must be inserted so that they (( SEAL )) the ear canal to block out well!! It that is the case, then try this; for this works well; Simply pinch off a little ear plug material from another ear plug in your pack and combine that to ONE ear plug so that you are inserting (( slightly more )) ear plug material. (That is what our military does when they are firing high calibre firearms or in the presence on bombs). That should take care of the snoring sound completely. Sincerely Mary-customer service
