Droners.ioReviews of droners.io

You bid on a job that is worth twicw the anmount and get low balled by somw Pilot that will fly for almost nothing. this site is crazy, to much invested. A job 30 miles away if not more for $90 a photo shoot plus editing, and dont forget the 4 sale sign they want you to purchase and place at the property.

I have been using this site for odd-jobs for about a year and a half. You will get paid about 1/3 of what the job is actually worth 99% of the time, but it is good for new pilots to get practice. However, they do not hold the client payment in escrow and I just had a client flake on me for payment and Droners has made no effort to make this right. Expect nothing from them, they will not help you. Do the work at your own risk. Ask for deposits, that was my mistake. I don’t know why they can take deposits, but the can’t hold payment in escrow. They just charge the clients card once you mark the job as complete. Sloppy enterprise. They sent me a couple emails saying they’re ’working on a solution’ and then went radio silent. I don’t do free work, but apparently through Droners.io…I do….

Have been doing drone shoots with Droners.io for over a year and find that the people that post jobs are on the cheap side. They expect a lot of drone work and shots but aren't willing to pay the pilot a decent wage for doing so. On average a pilot will only make $100 a shoot and then droiners robs the pilot of another 10% leaving the pilot with only $90. In that pay of $90 that is your drive time to and from and shoot time. I feel that the posters are cheap and that droiners should charge the poster not the pilot. It sucks trying to work for next to nothing.
