What they show you online is not what you'll receive when you enter the apartment and by then it's too late. I rented an apartment for €1300 in the most disgusting conditions with spider webs, ants, and animal hair everywhere because it was clearly left abandoned. The kitchenware is so disgusting I put it away and didn't bother to use it because most of it was mismatched and rusty. When you bring it up to them, they don't care.

I asked for a deposit return time. They said 15 business days. Instead it's been 31 days, and their customer service chat repeated said they need 4-5 more days, and cannot confirm with the accounting department when I obviously selected to talk with the accounting department. One reply from them and the chat was force terminated. Don't expect your 2 months of rent back as you will have to forget you have it to plan your life. Otherwise, enjoy your fixed duration contract with unvetted mentally ill/non-English (AND non-Italian) speaking/unhygienic flatmates who get you sick all the time with all sorts of cooking smell imaginable.

Son una empresa de estafadores, no alquiléis habitaciones con ellos. No te ayudan en nada, el piso es una basura, es pequeño y tiene las cosas rotas. Y encima no puedes llamarles, solo escribirles correos.

Milano 22/05/26

Customer Service Deficits. Complete reliance on a flawed AI chatbot. Endless error loops occur when requesting human support. Severe lack of accessibility. Unacceptable response times for urgent maintenance inquiries. Property Conditions. Pre-existing structural damages remain ignored. The apartment features missing window panes. Improperly sealed doors cause water leaks during rain. Known issues were left unaddressed prior to move-in. This represents a clear breach of habitability obligations under the Italian Civil Code. Technical Infrastructure. Highly unreliable mobile application. Users experience frequent crashes and unannounced maintenance modes. Legitimate payment methods like SEPA transfers malfunction. The automated system sends unwarranted overdue notices despite the platform's internal payment processing errors. Unfulfilled Paid Services. Failure to deliver on contractual promises. A mandatory fee was paid for the processing of a Codice Fiscale. The company provides zero proactive communication regarding the document's status. It requires immense tenant effort to extract basic updates. Verdict: Joivy utilizes broken technology to avoid accountability and fails to provide basic living standards. Not recommended for prospective tenants.

I rented the apartment from Dovevivo/Joivy and got uncleaned/dirty apartment at check-in. When I entered the apartment it was too dirty and uncleaned. I had to spend 1 night in the uncleaned apartment. I reported and then it was cleaned after 3 days. After 1 week, I encountered with severe allergy on my whole body. I visited many doctors and took medicines for more than 3 month without any relief. Then finally I was diagnosed with SCABIES. It really disturbed me mentally and physically. I had to spend lot of money. However, Dovevivo did not compensate me. They ignored all my requests. Also, they do not bother for any complaint you make. The worst experience I ever have.

I am a Joivy tenant whose apartment has been broken into five times. Despite repeatedly reporting these incidents, DoveVivo has not taken any meaningful action to address the situation. Their lack of response demonstrates a concerning disregard for tenant safety, and their customer service has been consistently slow and ineffective. Before renting a property from Joivy, please be aware that you may be renting a room with minimal safety measures and limited support in the event of security issues.
