I have used DonorPerfect since 2003. It is an easily accessible ISP that will meet almost all the needs of small- to mid-sized non-profits. It is affordable and flexible giving you the ability to re-design donor screens and add fields so that it works for your context. In recent years, DP has become increasingly responsive to suggestions for updates from the users. DP integrates with popular add-ons like Constant Contact reducing the amount of data entry. And fund raisers can track their contacts and stay on task with Moves Management and calendar integration. Reporting is far simpler than many other platforms.

Our organization has been using Donor Perfect Online for several years now. I love the "canned" reports that provide so much information about our donor base. I have found the Knowledge Base very helpful when I am trying something new and have also used the Support Team to help me solve reporting issues. Overall DPO is user friendly and I like how they collect and actually implement user suggestions.

I'm a development director new to DonorPerfect. It's capacity daunts me and I recognize our office is not taking full advantage of the program. Every day I use the giving history to thank donors, making my gratitude specific to their designation, recognizing if the donor has honored someone with their gift, noting how the donor met us, how long they have been giving to us. At this year's end, I've been looking closely at the DonorPerfect analytics, particularly that Comprehensive Donor Review Analysis. I can see at a glance how many donors we've retained, how many lapsed donors have returned, how many new donors we have, how many gave two or more gifts last year -- and because I can pull up all their names, I plan to send a mid-year thank you note. I can't manage the ledger yet. My staff can do that, and I see regular reports, but I'm thinking about how to segment my donors. I want to browse a bit. But I won't really be ready to segment donors for another six months or more. I have time to learn. And I have six hours of one-on-one tutoring still to use. The first two-hour session was excellent.

DonorPerfect Online is a great donor database/customer relationship management platform. As a small nonprofit on a very tight budget, finding a software solution that can handle all of our needs while still being budget-friendly is a must. DonorPerfect allows us to keep track of our donors and their gifts, do monthly payroll giving imports for mass gifts on a bi-monthly basis, create custom giving pages for specific funds/needs/campaigns, and has a lot of add on features. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, is because many of the add on features cost additional money (text to give, ConstantContact integration, ReadSetAuction, etc. all great add ons, but most small nonprofits can't afford the additional expenses, so will either find a more cumbersome but cheaper method, or just forgo the expense). All in all, it's a great system with excellent customer service via chat or by phone (available 5:30am - 5:00 pm PST) that can help with onboarding and questions at every turn. Custom reporting makes it easy to do GL exports for accounting, board reports, annual reports, event reports, or nearly any report you can think of. Mailing/contact lists are easy to generate, and the ability to add custom flags allows you to easily segment your donors by whatever catagory you prefer (great for college foundations who want to track alumni, employee, trustee, board, or local business giving!)

DonorPerfect has really help our organization stay organized and keep detailed records. Before we got DP we used old fashioned files and excel documents, not with DP we are organized and able to track our donors over the years. Only recommendation for anyone getting DP is to take your time learning how to properly record data. If it's imputed incorrectly it can make it more difficult to use.

We use donor perfect to track donations from our donors breaking it down into reports to fit our needs for information. We use the reports to do mailings to solicit for different programs and needs. The mailing list we generate also helps with this.

I was new to donor relations when taking this position and DonorPerfect is the first database I have used. Learning DonorPerfect has been so simple and there is always someone ready to help when needed. I really enjoy how easy DonorPerfect is to use. All of the customizing that you are allowed from thank you letters to what you see for each donor is amazing. The reporting is simple and comes out very clean and organized.
